Job Posting Title: Senior Specialist, Corporate Social Responsibility Req ID: 10155209 Job Description: The Walt Disney World Resort Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) team is seeking a Senior Specialist, Corporate Social Responsibility to support the development and execution of community impact strategies, philanthropic initiatives, volunteer engagement programs, and stakeholder outreach efforts that strengthen the company's reputation and create meaningful impact across Central Florida.
This role will play a key part in advancing Walt Disney World's CSR priorities by coordinating programs and initiatives that connect Disney's business objectives with community needs. The Senior Specialist will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver programs that enhance Cast engagement, support nonprofit partners, and reinforce Disney's longstanding commitment to making a positive difference in the communities where we live, work, and play.
The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker and relationship builder with a passion for community engagement, nonprofit partnerships, volunteerism, and corporate citizenship. This role will report to the Senior Manager, Corporate Social Responsibility.
Responsibilities Strategy & Program Execution Support the implementation of Walt Disney World's Corporate Social Responsibility strategy and annual priorities. Help develop and execute CSR initiatives aligned with company objectives, business priorities, and community needs.
Coordinate projects from planning through execution, ensuring deliverables, timelines, and stakeholder expectations are met. Assist with tracking program outcomes, performance metrics, and impact reporting. Community Engagement & Philanthropy Support community outreach initiatives, nonprofit partnerships, and philanthropic programs throughout Central Florida.
Coordinate charitable giving efforts, grant-related activities, and community engagement opportunities. Assist with planning and execution of community events, service projects, recognition programs, and special activations. Build and maintain relationships with nonprofit organizations, civic leaders, educational institutions, and community stakeholders.
Disney VoluntEARS Support the planning, coordination, and execution of Disney VoluntEARS initiatives and volunteer events. Work with nonprofit partners and internal stakeholders to identify meaningful volunteer opportunities for Cast Members.
Assist in volunteer recruitment, event logistics, communications, recognition efforts, and impact measurement. Help promote volunteerism throughout the resort and support employee engagement strategies. Stakeholder Engagement Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal business partners, nonprofit organizations, community leaders, and external stakeholders.
Serve as a liaison between Disney teams and community organizations to ensure effective collaboration and successful program outcomes. Support presentations, briefings, and communications materials for leadership, stakeholders, and community partners.
Represent the CSR team at community meetings, volunteer events, and partnership engagements as needed. Operational Excellence Maintain program documentation, budgets, calendars, project plans, and stakeholder databases. Support data collection, reporting, and analysis to measure program effectiveness and inform future strategies.
Assist in developing executive summaries, presentations, impact reports, and briefing materials. Ensure all initiatives align with company policies, brand standards, and community engagement objectives. Basic Qualifications 3+ years of professional experience in Corporate Social Responsibility, Public Affairs, Communications, Philanthropy, Nonprofit, External Affairs, HR, or a related field.
Demonstrated experience building and maintaining relationships with diverse stakeholders. Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Experience coordinating events, volunteer programs, community outreach initiatives, or philanthropic programs.
Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills. Proven ability to collaborate effectively across organizations and teams. Strong attention to detail and ability to execute programs with excellence. Ability to work independently while contributing as an effective team member.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Teams. Flexible schedule including early morning, late evenings and weekends. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with nonprofit organizations, community engagement programs, or employee volunteer programs.
Knowledge of corporate citizenship, philanthropy, social impact, or stakeholder engagement practices. Experience developing reports, dashboards, or impact measurement tools. Familiarity with Walt Disney World operations and Central Florida nonprofit landscape.
Experience managing partnerships with community organizations and external stakeholders. Ability to speak multiple languages. Education Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Public Affairs, Community Development, Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, Marketing, Human Resources, or related field.
The hiring range for this position in Florida is $91,000.00 to $121,900.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
