The Veterans Transition Program is designed to support veterans in making the transition from military life to the civilian workforce.
The Program offers participants the opportunity to work at the world’s largest asset manager for six months. On completion of the Program, successful participants will be offered permanent employment at BlackRock. Over the course of the Program, participants will: Join teams and have an immediate impact; Immerse themselves in the work of their teams; Gain an understanding of how BlackRock serves its clients; Be supported through training and mentorship; Get exposure to senior leaders; Participate in social and networking opportunities.
Program Structure: The program begins with an orientation where you’ll learn about BlackRock’s principles, mission, purpose, and culture. You’ll learn about the asset management industry and get an in-depth look at how BlackRock serves its clients.
Following orientation, you’ll join your team and gain insights into the day-to-day life of an Associate as you develop subject-matter expertise through on-the-job learning and our industry-leading technology, Aladdin. From its inception, BlackRock has been driven by a clear and purposeful mission.

The Aladdin Business Development team engages with prospective clients to understand strategic business challenges and deliver mission-critical solutions. We deliver on the BlackRock purpose every day. Key Responsibilities Lead Generation & Prospecting : Proactively identify and qualify new sales opportunities through various channels, including networking, inbound marketing, and outbound initiatives.
Sales Support : Assist in managing the sales pipeline by supporting senior team members throughout the sales cycle, from initial outreach to deal closure. Collaborate with internal RFP teams and resources to respond to any client-generated RFPs.
Client Engagement : Build and maintain relationships with prospective clients, understanding their needs and challenges to position Aladdin solutions effectively. Market Research : Conduct research on industry trends, competitive landscapes, and potential clients to inform sales strategies and identify new business opportunities.
Collaboration : Work closely with senior sales leaders and internal teams to ensure a seamless client experience, contributing to the overall success of the business development function. Reporting & Analysis : Track and report on sales activities, pipeline progress, and client feedback to help refine strategies and improve performance.
Communication : Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals, and other sales materials that clearly communicate Aladdin’s value proposition to potential clients. Continuous Learning : Stay updated on the investment management industry, BlackRock’s offerings, and relevant technologies to enhance your ability to engage with clients and contribute to the team’s success.
Skills And Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess some combination of the following: Demonstrated experience in sales, lead generation, or business development, preferably in the financial services or technology sectors. Experience in devising and implementing outbound sales strategies to help fuel growth and build the sales pipeline.
Familiarity with pipeline management, tracking, and reporting on prospecting and sales activities, specifically within a CRM. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex concepts to prospective clients.
A focus on understanding and addressing client needs, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze market data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights. Basic understanding of investment management technologies and the ability to learn and discuss Aladdin’s capabilities with prospects.
A self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work effectively within a team, contributing to collective goals and supporting senior colleagues as needed.
Passion for the Industry: A genuine interest in the investment management industry and a desire to grow your expertise in this field. Education & Experience 2+ years of experience in sales, lead generation, or business development, preferably within the financial services or technology industry.

For New York, NY Only the salary range for this position is USD$115,000.00 - USD$147,500.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits.
