JOB DUTIES: Ensure compliance with quality standards, regulatory and other business systems; identify opportunities for business improvement and supply world-class quality products. Ensure appropriate structure and environment to optimize performance across manufacturing and warehouse to achieve performance targets in line with safety, quality, and cost expectations.

Actively participate in review of production metrics to understand and drive production performance. Forecast and address warehousing needs for current and future manufacturing requirements. Establish quality standards and metrics in alignment with safety, productivity, regulatory compliance, quality and advanced technology needs.

Ensure compliance with local legislative requirements, maintain optimal operating conditions for productive equipment, and manage external resources. Drive development and implementation of production systems to meet global production needs.

Process, advise and support product development, commission new products, maintain quality and reduce non-value-added work. Ensure implementation of health and safety management system within areas of responsibility and monitor health and safety performance of direct reports.

Support and drive Six Sigma Lean continuous improvement program. Navigate growing complexity of supply chain as business evolves globally. Work closely with planning and human resources to establish resource requirements in conjunction with production plans.

Allocate resources effectively and efficiently by collaborating with appropriate stakeholders. Implement, drive, and ensure appropriate accountability is met across people management, leadership and development and employee engagement to ensure business achieves and maintains preferred workplace culture.

Develop, motivate, and mentor team. Enhance productivity and quality through continuous improvement systems, employee development, and multi-skilling. Establish open communication mechanisms to enhance workplace relationships and productivity.

Advocate culture and behavior encouraging all production employees to operate in fair and safe work environment. Utilize business information systems for effective management and reporting of performance against targets

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field of study and 10 years of progressive manufacturing and engineering experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (like medical device manufacturing).
  • Applicants must have demonstrated experience with: 1) 5 years manufacturing and product quality management in medical device industry. 2) Building and leading manufacturing operations teams. 3) Advanced manufacturing technologies 4) Process development for new product introduction. 5) Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement. 6) Driving safe work practices in manufacturing operations. 7) Working in cross functional teams globally.
  • Any and all experience may be gained concurrently.
