Position Summary: Caremark LLC, a CVS Health company, is hiring for the following role in Richardson, TX: Staff Software Development Engineer to design and develop software applications and platforms to support digital strategies and solutions.
Duties include: analyze user needs and develop software solutions to meet business requirements; determine feasibility of solutions design and prepare technical design documentation; upgrade existing software applications and/or systems to improve functionality and features with a focus on performance, reliability, and maintainability; write and review high quality code and perform unit and/or automation testing; develop and deploy application components and support unit testing and bug fixes; participate in AGILE Scrum meetings and/or CI/CD; support applications, systems, and databases used to process prescriptions, claims, and related healthcare activities; and collaborate with cross-functional teams on applications development, technical requirements, code review, project deliverables, quality assurance, and software development best practices.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Engineering
- a related field and five (5) years of progressive, postbaccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation. Requires five (5) years of experience in each of the following:
- CI/CD, Jenkins, GIT, or DevOps;
- Java, Python, or Node.js;
- XML, JSON, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript;
- Agile methodologies or SAFe Software Development Principles;
- Frameworks: Angular, JavaScript, React, jQuery, Ajax, Bootstrap, or Backbone;
- J2EE;
- REST, SOAP, or Web Service APIs;
- Oracle, Redis, or Cassandra database;
- JIRA, Rally, or Confluence;
- Hibernate or Oracle;
- Software development lifecycle (SDLC);
- Software testing, quality assurance, and troubleshooting;
- Relational database concepts;
- Agile productivity tools and leading incremental software releases; and
- Working with UI/UX teams to develop wireframes and prototypes based on end user feedback and human-centered design. Pay Range: $156998.00/year to $236900.00/year. This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
