About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Merchant Sales Consultant (MSC) to drive revenue and expand Merchant Services sales to new Merchant customers. This strategic sales role is responsible for driving new business development and revenue growth for solutions within the Corporate Banking segment.
Using a consultative sales approach, the incumbent manages the full sales cycle, builds strong internal and external partnerships, and serves as a trusted subject matter expert to enhance Merchant Services brand awareness and market penetration.

In This Role, You Will
- Lead complex, consultative sales initiatives with broad organizational impact, including cross-functional opportunities, to drive new business growth and revenue generation for Middle Market clients across diverse industries.
- Manage the full sales lifecycle, from prospecting and relationship development through solution design, negotiation, implementation, and ongoing client engagement.
- Drive business development activities through effective prospecting, networking, and strategic relationship management with high-value clients, centers of influence, and internal bank partners.
- Collaborate with peers, business partners, and experienced leaders to develop sales strategies, resolve complex challenges, and achieve business objectives while enhancing Merchant Services market penetration.
- Serve as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert by leveraging market intelligence, industry trends, and competitive insights to identify client needs and recommend tailored receivables solutions.
- Influence and communicate effectively with diverse audiences, including C-suite executives, key stakeholders, and senior leadership, delivering compelling value propositions and strategic recommendations.
- Actively share knowledge, best practices, and market insights with peers, fostering collaboration and contributing to a high-performance, team-oriented culture focused on collective success.
- Identify opportunities for product enhancements, process improvements, and business innovation that drive client satisfaction, operational efficiency, and revenue growth.
- Demonstrate sales leadership by mentoring, coaching, and developing less experienced team members, supporting their growth while strengthening overall team performance and capability.
- Required Qualifications, US: 5+ years of Merchant Sales experience
- equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education Desired Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in Merchant Services, Payment Processing, Treasury Management
- a related Financial Services sales environment.
- Demonstrated success selling to large corporate clients with revenues exceeding $2B, navigating complex organizational structures and decision-making processes.
- Proven ability to generate new business and grow revenue through strategic prospecting, relationship development, and client acquisition.
- Experience managing the full sales lifecycle, including opportunity identification, solution design, proposal development, negotiation, onboarding, and implementation.
- Strong partnership and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively alongside Corporate Banking Relationship Managers, Treasury Management Consultants
- other key stakeholders to identify and win business.
- Track record of successfully acquiring, expanding, and retaining client relationships by aligning customer needs with tailored payment and receivables solutions.
- Deep understanding of merchant services, payment processing, interchange, payment architecture, and associated risk considerations.
- Strong consultative selling, communication, and executive presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and deliver value-driven solutions.
