  • Amazon India is seeking a Senior Tax Analyst, Direct tax to be based in Bengaluru. This position will be responsible for overseeing direct tax matters related to planning opportunities

Key job responsibilities The responsibilities of the ideal candidate will include the following: Analyzing business transactions and initiatives, partnering with various teams and functioning as an in-house tax advisor. Researching on India direct tax issues - working with outside advisers as necessary, including as part of a global tax team. Developing and evaluating India direct tax planning opportunities and strategies. Maintaining and communicating knowledge of India direct tax laws, regulations, rulings, procedures and court decisions. Assisting with managing relationships with outside tax consultants and regulatory authorities on an ongoing basis. Work with tax compliance and tech teams ensure adequate information is being recorded in the systems as may be required for the purpose of direct tax compliance, audit and litigation. This position interacts with the company’s international and Indian business and support units, so candidate should be able to work with cross-functional teams. The candidate must be able to communicate complex direct tax concepts in ways that are meaningful and useful to non-tax professionals. Leveraging AI powered tools and automation frameworks into tax workflows.   • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
  • a Bachelor's degree and experience in tax, finance or a related analytical field - Qualified chartered/cost accountant (or equivalent). - The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5+ years of Indian direct tax experience with public accounting firm, major law firm, and/or in industry, preferably a large multinational corporation.
  • Experience with accounting concepts and tax regulations, laws and standards - Detail-oriented individual who takes ownership of projects. - Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with all levels of management. The job requires excellent written and oral communication skills and an understanding of Indian tax laws, particularly direct taxes. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills - Able to extract, analyze
