Vice President - Digital Tagging

USCC Digital Analytics team is seeking an experienced and strategic Vice President to lead the Tagging Center of Excellence (Tagging COE) . This C13 people manager role provides end-to-end (E2E) ownership of the tagging lifecycle across web and mobile platforms, supporting the growing demand for digital analytics tagging and ensuring accurate measurement of customer behavior, digital engagement, and business outcomes for post login journeys.
The VP will lead and manage the Tagging COE team, serving as the senior point of accountability for tagging delivery. This individual will partner closely with Analytics, Product, and Technology stakeholders to translate measurement requirements into scalable tracking solutions and drive a high standard of data quality and governance across the tagging lifecycle.
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in tag management and digital analytics platforms, strong people leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and the strategic vision to drive measurement best practices and innovation — including AI-enabled automation — at scale. 1.
People & Team Management Lead and manage the team with full accountability for team performance, delivery quality, and outcomes. Establish and maintain team operating rhythms, standards, and governance frameworks to drive consistent, high-quality output across all tagging workstreams.
Mentor, coach, and develop team members, fostering a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, and analytical excellence. Manage resource planning, workload prioritization, and capacity allocation to meet delivery commitments across concurrent initiatives.
Represent the team in cross-functional forums, providing clear visibility into team performance, priorities, and delivery status. Drive talent development and capability-building within the team to support Citi's long-term digital analytics objectives. 2.
End-to-End Tagging Ownership Own the full tagging lifecycle — from tracking requirement definition and tagging specification creation through to validation & QA and reporting & insights — across web and mobile platforms. Tagging implementation is not part of the role.
Lead the creation, review, and governance of tagging specifications (tag specs), ensuring alignment with analytics standards, business objectives, and measurement frameworks. Partner closely with Analytics, Product, and Technology teams to translate business measurement requirements into scalable, reliable tracking solutions.
Support analytics readiness for new feature launches, A/B Experimentation testing, channel expansion initiatives, and platform enhancements. Implement and maintain a standardized taxonomy, a semantic layer, and a centralized repository of KPI definitions, calculation logic, and audience segments.
Proactively identify and remediate broken tags, data discrepancies, and measurement blind spots to maintain the integrity of digital data capture. 3. Digital Analytics & Insights Leverage digital data to develop customer journey views, KPI frameworks, and dashboards that enable data-driven decision making.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive measurement best practices, improve data quality, and establish scalable analytics processes. Support reporting cadences and ad-hoc analytical requests that surface opportunities to improve customer experience and business outcomes. 4.
AI-Driven Process Innovation Identify and execute opportunities to optimize and automate tagging workflows using AI-enabled solutions, including AI agents for tag spec creation, code repository monitoring, and broken tag detection. Drive adoption of automation and emerging technologies to enhance efficiency, scalability, and quality of COE operations.
Foster a continuous improvement mindset within the team, regularly reviewing processes to reduce manual effort and increase productivity. 5. Stakeholder & Project Management Own end-to-end project management for Tagging COE initiatives — from intake and planning through delivery and post-implementation review — ensuring on-time, on-quality execution.
Manage communication with stakeholders across Analytics, Product, and Technology teams, providing regular program updates and proactive escalation where needed. Maintain clear RACI frameworks and governance structures to support COE scalability as demand grows.
Recommended Qualifications: 12+ years of experience Experience as an Operations Research Analyst, Analytics Manager, Strategic Business Analyst or related position performing quantitative analytics supporting financial services Experience in digital analytics, web analytics, or digital measurement, with a demonstrated track record of delivering complex tagging programs.
Extensive hands-on experience with Adobe Analytics and Adobe Launch (or equivalent tag management platforms such as Tealium, GTM). Experience owning tagging COE operations, analytics governance, or digital measurement programs within a large, complex organization.
Strong background in digital product analytics, including experience supporting product launches, A/B experimentation, channel measurement, and customer journey analysis.
