Senior Finance Manager
Overview Global Treasury supports the digital transformation journey of Microsoft’s customers, partners & vendors by providing competitive credit and payment solutions to support revenue growth while managing credit risk. We are a compliance first organization with customer obsession and deal economics focus.
We support $120B in trade receivables and $11B in payment solutions per year in global markets. The Process & Innovation Team (PI) is looking for an experienced Senior Finance Manager to establish and lead a Treasury-wide change management capability.
As Microsoft accelerates business model transformation, Treasury is driving complex changes across policy, people, processes, and platforms. The scale and pace of these changes require dedicated ownership to ensure consistent adoption, effective enablement, and measurable business impact.
This role will partner closely with senior leaders and cross-functional teams across Sales, Operations, Engineering, Customer Support, and other change management organizations to design, communicate, and embed scalable solutions that improve experiences for Microsoft’s customers, partners, and internal teams.

Responsibilities Prioritize Establish and lead a robust Treasury-wide change management framework to support business model transformation and drive consistent adoption across policy, people, processes, and platforms.
Develop structured change plans for key Treasury initiatives, including stakeholder impact assessments, communications, readiness plans, adoption measures, and risk mitigation strategies. Drive end-to-end enablement through trainings, office hours, playbooks, job aids, and ongoing support to help teams successfully adopt new ways of working.
Track adoption, identify gaps, escalate risks, and ensure follow-through on key initiatives to improve rollout effectiveness and business outcomes. Use data, feedback, and insights to continuously improve change strategies and strengthen the consistency and effectiveness of Treasury transformation efforts.
Partnership Partner across Treasury leadership, process owners, upstream teams, and business stakeholders to align on change priorities, readiness needs, and adoption success measures. Act as a trusted advisor to initiative owners by translating complex transformation objectives into clear, actionable change plans and stakeholder engagement strategies.
Build strong relationships with change management teams across other organizations to ensure alignment, leverage best practices, and avoid duplication of effort. Provide recommendations to senior leaders on adoption risks, enablement needs, communication strategies, and opportunities to improve the effectiveness of transformation rollouts.
Coordinate governance, reporting, and stakeholder forums to maintain visibility into change progress, open issues, feedback themes, and required follow-up actions. Other Embody Microsoft’s culture and values Qualifications Required/minimum qualifications Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR equivalent experience.
Additional or preferred qualifications Masters Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 6+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience OR Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 8+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance work experience OR equivalent experience. 1+ year(s) experience in multinationals with multi-product/multi-segment finance roles. 1+ year(s) work experience in matrix-based organization. 1+ year(s) work experience in the technology or software industry.
Proven finance leadership experience with a demonstrated ability to deliver impact through transformation, process improvement, and stakeholder adoption. Demonstrated experience leading change management efforts, including stakeholder impact assessments, communications, training, enablement, adoption tracking, and feedback mechanisms.
Ability to simplify complex business, policy, process, and technology changes into clear messages, practical guidance, and actionable plans for diverse audiences. Excellent cross-group collaboration skills, including the ability to communicate, influence, and build trust with senior leaders, initiative owners, and partner organizations.
Project and program management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, drive accountability, and maintain momentum in a fast-paced environment. Data-driven mindset with the ability to define adoption metrics, analyze feedback, identify gaps, and recommend improvements to increase rollout effectiveness.
High level of integrity, sound judgment, self-confidence, and commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive culture. Comfort with ambiguity and ability to operate effectively through complex transformation efforts with competing deliverables and tight timelines.
Effective oral and written communication skills, with experience developing executive-ready materials, training content, and stakeholder communications. Financial Analysis IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $97,600 - $188,400 per year.
There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $125,000 - $206,400 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
