As Legal Counsel for Novartis in the UK, you will partner closely with commercial, medical, regulatory, and business teams to provide practical, risk-based legal guidance that enables innovation while protecting Novartis’ interests. This is an opportunity to influence high-impact business initiatives, navigate complex legal and compliance topics, and help shape how we deliver meaningful outcomes for patients across the UK.

Job Description Key Responsibilities Provide strategic legal advice that supports business objectives while managing legal and compliance risks. Partner with commercial, medical, and market access teams on key business initiatives and decision-making.

Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial and operational agreements. Advise on pharmaceutical regulations, healthcare professional interactions, transparency, and competition law. Identify and mitigate legal risks, providing pragmatic solutions to support sustainable business growth.

Support governance processes, investigations, disputes, and engagement with external legal counsel. Develop and deliver legal training to strengthen compliance awareness across the organization. Drive continuous improvement through simplified legal processes and responsible use of legal technology.

Essential Requirements Law degree and qualification as a solicitor in England and Wales. Demonstrated post-qualification legal experience. Strong experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts. Ability to provide pragmatic, business-focused legal guidance to cross-functional stakeholders.

Expected Annual Base Salary Range for role: 55.160 - 102.440 GBP The base salary offered is determined based on gender-neutral objectives, such as relevant skills, competencies and experience in accordance with the Novartis pay setting policy and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically.
