A typical day might involve advising on a banking agreement with a global financial institution, reviewing account documents for new international entities, advising on FX documentation

  • provide practical legal advice in a fast-paced environment with the augmentation of AI tools. About the team Treasury & Risk sits within the larger Corporate and Securities team (which also handles periodic reporting, proxy, securities
  • governance matters). Treasury serves as Amazon's central financial hub managing corporate liquidity, funding, capital allocation
  • financial infrastructure. GRMC operates as Amazon's risk management organization, managing insurance programs. As these functions span the entire company, you will have the opportunity to advise on a broad range of business initiatives across all of Amazon's businesses.
  • 5+ years of post bar admission legal experience - Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent - Knowledge of the ethical considerations surrounding AI in the legal context, such as confidentiality, accuracy, and bias prevention
  • Experience managing multiple projects and priorities across teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment - 7+ years of legal experience (including 3+ in a law firm), with experience in banking/finance or treasury-related legal work
  • capital markets - Experience with banking regulatory matters and drafting and negotiating banking agreements, custody agreements
  • other financial services, as well as derivatives documentation (ISDA)
  • investment management agreements - Familiarity with insurance programs, risk management
