  • setting the standard for mechanical & electrical design excellence at Cisco. What You’ll Do As a Global Capital Projects Engineer, you will own critical leadership, technical innovation
  • strategic influence on Cisco’s capital projects focusing on projects that have specific technical infrastructure requirements. This will include projects that deliver power & cooling to datacenter spaces, R&D lab/datahall spaces, & specialty lab spaces and it will include projects to update key building infrastructure assets through a life-cycle replacement program. You will shape the design & operational practices of both new & existing critical spaces within Cisco.
  • Mechanical & electrical engineering oversight on capital infrastructure projects
  • Provide technical leadership & strategy for infrastructure equipment design and selection
  • Serve as technical expert to be part of and support global technical team across Cisco’s Corporate Real Estate group for problem solving and setting maintenance excellence practices
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to integrate changes into the mechanical & electrical engineering design standards.
  • Integrate Energy Efficiency & Sustainability advancements into mechanical & electrical engineering designs in support of Cisco’s Net Zero Goals.
  • Evaluate trade-offs between technical performance, lead-time, & project costs.
  • Champion innovation and new product designs where feasible to meet Cisco goals. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with at least 5 years of experience post graduation Excellent understanding of mechanical and electrical infrastructure equipment deployed in corporate real estate facilities. Proven ability to drive design standards and document required equipment s pecifications. Demonstrated experience with cost reduction activities for existing design s Knowledge of industry standard project management software Preferred Qualifications Strong leadership and team coordination skills Experience working within datacenter environments Ability to drive innovation and set technical standards Experience working with suppliers on custom solutions Expertise in sustainability and energy efficiency Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities Why Cisco? Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location, market conditions, job-related skillset, experience, qualifications, education, certifications, and/or training. The full salary range for certain locations is listed below. U.S. employees are offered benefits, subject to Cisco’s plan eligibility rules, which include medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a Cisco matching contribution, paid parental leave, short and long-term disability coverage, and basic life insurance. Employees may be eligible to receive grants of Cisco restricted stock units, which vest following continued employment with Cisco for defined periods of time.   • and Once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation. For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay 0% up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid. The applicable full salary ranges for this position, by specific state, are listed below: New York City Metro Area: $132,300.00 - $200,100.00 Non-Metro New York state & Washington state: $117,300.00 - $219,300.00 * For quota-based sales roles on Cisco’s sales plan, the ranges provided in this posting include base pay and sales target incentive compensation combined. ** Employees in Illinois, whether exempt or non-exempt, will participate in a unique time off program to meet local requirements.
