Position Summary The Senior Manager, Strategic Planning serves as a strategic operator and thought partner to Retail Pharmacy leadership, driving enterprise alignment, shaping priorities, and leading high-impact cross-functional initiatives.
This role operates with significant autonomy to translate strategy into action, influence senior leaders, and ensure the organization is prioritized, resourced, and executing against its most critical objectives. The individual will act as a connector across teams, owning key planning processes, executive communications, and strategic initiatives from concept through execution.
Key Responsibilities Strategic Communications Own executive-level communications and narratives that shape decisions and align the organization Translate complex strategy and performance into clear, actionable insights for leadership Executive Partnership Serve as a trusted strategic partner to senior leadership, shaping priorities, decisions, and operating rhythm Lead key leadership forums by defining agendas, framing decisions, and ensuring follow-through Maintain a clear, ongoing view of business performance, priorities, and emerging issues Cross-Functional Leadership Drive alignment and outcomes across a highly matrixed organization, influencing without direct authority Lead complex, cross-functional initiatives from concept through execution Strengthen coordination across teams to ensure priorities are connected, resourced, and delivered Strategic Leadership & Planning Own and drive strategic planning across the organization, including annual and multi-year priorities, tradeoffs, and alignment Translate enterprise strategy into clear direction and ensure execution against the highest-impact opportunities Identify risks, gaps, and opportunities, and drive actions with leadership to address them Qualifications 7+ years of experience in strategy, consulting, business operations, or related fields Demonstrated experience owning and leading cross-functional initiatives and strategic workstreams Strong executive presence with experience advising and influencing senior leaders Proven ability to operate independently in ambiguous environments and drive outcomes Exceptional communication skills, with experience developing executive-level materials Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to translate insights into action Experience working in a highly matrixed organization and driving alignment across functions Education Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is: $82,940.00 - $182,549.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.
The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
