As a data analyst at Booz Allen, you can use your skills and experience to support a national security mission and use data for good. We need a data expert like you to bring your expertise to help U.S. Special Operations leaders better understand trends, gaps, risks, and opportunities across partner nation programs and operational activities.
As a client-facing Data Visualization Engineer & Data Integration Analyst on our team, you’ll work closely with Special Operations customers, planners, analysts, and mission partners to understand their questions and needs, then dig into data-rich environments to find the pieces of their information puzzle.
Not only will you provide a deeper understanding of their data, you’ll also advise the client on what the information means and how it can be used to improve planning, assessment, partner engagement, and senior leader decision-making. How You’ll Contribute: As a data analyst on our team, you’ll: Use your data analytics expertise to support client and stakeholder relationships.
Research, develop, and test data methodologies, and generate cross-functional solutions through collection, cleaning, interpretation, evaluation, integration, and analysis of operational and assessment data. Contribute to impactful work and guide decision-making across planners, assessment analysts, operational environment analysts, and senior stakeholders.
Apply communication skills and data analytics expertise by simplifying technical requirements, data trends, and analytical findings based on audience. Present data findings and recommendations to clients and stakeholders using your knowledge of databases, scripting languages such as SQL, Python, or R, visualization tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Apply data visualization through formats such as dashboards, graphs, tables, trackers, maps, and PowerPoint slides. Grow your communication and technical skills by creating data-centric solutions across special operations, campaign assessment, partner nation engagement, and operational planning missions.

You Have: 5+ years of experience supporting data visualization, data analysis, data integration, business intelligence, dashboard development, or knowledge management Experience collecting, cleaning, structuring, integrating, analyzing, or visualizing data from multiple sources Experience developing dashboards, visual reports, data trackers, executive-level data products, or recurring reporting tools Knowledge of data visualization principles, data quality, workflow automation, data management, information management, or knowledge management practices Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and translate mission requirements into practical data solutions Ability to work with planners, analysts, and operational stakeholders to define data requirements and translate complex information into clear visual products Ability to develop repeatable templates, dashboards, trackers, data collection frameworks, or automated workflows that support recurring reporting and assessment cycles TS/SCI clearance HS diploma or GED Nice If You Have: Experience supporting a Theater Special Operations Command, Geographic Combatant Command, or other Department of Defense client Experience with security cooperation, partner force development, irregular warfare, counterterrorism, special operations, exercises, or campaign assessment Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, or SharePoint lists Experience with SQL, Python, R, JavaScript, Databricks, application programming interfaces, or data transformation tools Experience supporting Mission Command System – Common Operational Picture, Maven Smart System, Palantir, Advana, Tableau, ESRI, or other mission data platforms Knowledge of Africa regional security dynamics, partner nation operational environments, transnational threat networks, or campaign planning processes Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, Business Analytics, National Security Studies, or a related field preferred; Master’s degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, Business Analytics, National Security Studies, or a related field a plus Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.
The projected compensation range for this position is $77,500.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
