The Wealth Management Business Development & Field Training organization supports the Firm’s Financial Advisors by managing the field sales support of non-banking products and the business development functions for our branch network.
The Business Development and Field Training Organization is responsible for driving revenue growth nationally across all product areas excluding banking. Reporting to the Head of Insured Solutions Distribution, the Insured Solutions Director (ISD) is responsible for sales activity across Insurance based products including Annuities, Life Insurance, Disability and Property & Casualty in their given territory.
Responsibilities include identifying market opportunities and developing a plan to execute in partnership with the Home Office, Regional Management, and other local resources. ISD’s must drive and coordinate sales activity to deliver results against specific targets in a manner that is consistent with Morgan Stanley’s values and well-aligned with clients’ individual objectives
Key Responsibilities
- Drive utilization of Insured Solutions business within assigned coverage area Partner with Regional Management, Specialist and Product teams to identify and develop sales and educational opportunities that help meet clients’ needs Ensure effective territory coverage through data driven segmentation and analysis of Financial Advisor population Partner with Financial Advisors to help identify opportunities, enhance their product knowledge
- connect them with additional resources Management of initiatives and tactical activities leveraging Salesforce Knowledge and Skills Required: Active Series 7 and 63, 65 (or 66) or ability to obtain within six months of hire.
- Insurance license required Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance or equivalent work experience.
- Advanced designations are preferred 5+ years of experience related to Annuity & Insurance Industry as a Wholesaler/Specialist/Sales Manager Deep understanding and familiarity of Morgan Stanley’s branch network and Financial Advisors Well-recognized leader, culture carrier
- experienced manager, with a demonstrated track record of building, leading, motivating
- managing teams of highly motivated and highly functioning individuals Strong presentation and project management skills required.

- Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $150,000 and $250,000 per year at the commencement of employment.
- However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages
