Job Title: AFRICOM-Strategic Messaging Coordinator Job Category: Intelligence Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: TS/SCI Employee Type: Regular-Long Term Assignment Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 100% Type of Travel: Outside Continental US - Hazard * * * The Opportunity: The Strategic Messaging Coordinator integrates AFRICOM;s J37 exercise program with strategic communications, ensuring coherent and synchronized messaging across the Command, Component Commands, Joint Staff, DoS, and interagency organizations.

This role manages the information environment by producing communication products, coordinating messaging working groups, and aligning exercise outputs to AFRICOM’s broader campaign plans. Responsibilities: -Lead weekly Information Related Working Groups (WGs) supporting AFRICOM’s J37 exercise program. -Maintain a synchronized strategic messaging calendar aligned to exercise milestones and AFRICOM campaign objectives. -Develop messaging products including briefs, graphics, Q&A documents, read ahead packets, and talking points. -Synchronize messaging across Components, Joint Staff, and the interagency to ensure alignment with AFRICOM Commander priorities. -Integrate OIE related products into exercise planning and execution cycles. -Support Government responses to exercise related RFIs, ensuring timely and accurate submissions. -Track and report messaging dispositions and information requirements. -Monitor operational activities and identify emerging messaging opportunities or risks related to exercise execution. -Coordinate with ACJ39, Public Affairs, and OIE stakeholders to align messaging with operational objectives. -Provide assessments of friendly/adversary messaging impacts, gaps, and opportunities across the information environment

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 10 years of directly related experience or 15 years of directly related experience. 7+ years of experience in strategic communication, military information operations
  • information environment operations (IO/OIE).
  • Familiarity with Joint Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations, OPSEC, MISO, and related IRCs.
  • Strong writing, visual communication, and briefing development skills.
  • Ability to operate in fast paced, dynamic operational environments.
  • TS/SCI clearance required.
  • Desired- Experience developing messaging strategies for a GCC or DoD organization.
  • Understanding of AFRICOM’s strategic narrative and theater wide campaigns.
