As an IT Analyst, you will help deliver and support the technology solutions that power Caterpillar's business.
In this role, you will contribute to application design, requirements analysis, system integration, testing, and problem-solving efforts across a variety of enterprise systems. Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, you will help implement innovative technologies, improve business processes, and support solutions that create value for both internal and external customers.
This position offers the opportunity to build technical expertise while working on challenging projects that span multiple technologies, business functions, and emerging digital capabilities. What You Will Do Support enterprise applications and technology solutions that serve internal and external customers.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business and system requirements. Assist in designing and implementing application and technology solutions. Support integration efforts across applications, databases, platforms, and AI-enabled technologies.
Perform system testing, validation, and troubleshooting to ensure high-quality solutions. Analyze technical issues and recommend improvements to enhance performance and user experience. Create and maintain technical documentation, process flows, and testing artifacts.
Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative and scalable technology solutions. What You Have Core Application Systems: Knowledge of major production application systems used for delivery of services to internal and external clients; ability to leverage major production application systems in diverse situations.
Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations. Application Design, Architecture : Knowledge of application design and architecture principles and practices; ability to utilize application design methodologies, tools, and techniques to convert business requirements and logical models into a technical application design.
Requirements Analysis: Knowledge of tools, methods, and techniques of requirement analysis; ability to elicit, analyze and record required business functionality and non-functionality requirements to ensure the success of a system or software development project.
System and Technology Integration: Knowledge of the features and facilities of systems; ability to integrate and communicate among applications, databases and technology platforms. System Testing: Knowledge of system and software testing; ability to design, plan and execute system testing strategies and tactics to ensure the quality of software at all stages of the system life cycle Top Candidates May Have Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Management Information Systems, Cybersecurity or a technical-related degree from a four-year accredited college/university (selected candidates must complete their degree by their start date) Minimum cumulative GPA: 3.0 on 4.0 scale (without rounding). 0-2 years of relevant experience related to this field (internships or academic projects are a plus) Experience through internships, personal projects, research, hackathons, student organizations, or coursework is highly valued Additional Information Please attach your resume and an unofficial copy of your transcript to your application.

Summary Pay Range: $81,370.00 - $122,060.00 Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience.
