As a Senior Director, Global Procurement – Commercial Category Strategy , at Gilead you will lead enterprise-wide procurement strategy across a complex global portfolio, shaping how we partner with stakeholders and suppliers to deliver measurable business value beyond savings. This is a highly visible leadership role based at our global headquarters in Foster City, CA
- you will drive strategic alignment between Procurement and Commercial leadership while developing high-performing teams and advancing Gilead’s global supplier ecosystem. What You’ll Do 1) Enterprise Category Strategy & Business Partnership Own and evolve global Commercial category strategies aligned to business priorities and growth objectives Act as a strategic advisor to senior leaders, influencing decisions through data-driven insights and market intelligence Create a unified Procurement engagement model, ensuring consistent stakeholder experience across regions and functions 2) Value Creation & Strategic Execution Identify and deliver initiatives that generate value beyond cost savings, including innovation, risk mitigation
- supplier performance Translate business needs into scalable category strategies and sourcing plans Drive adoption of preferred supplier programs and ensure measurable impact through defined KPIs and dashboards 3) Supplier & Market Leadership Build and maintain strategic partnerships with key global suppliers and external stakeholders Lead complex negotiations and oversee high-value contracts within critical categories Leverage deep market expertise to benchmark, assess supplier capabilities

Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package.
