- An Associate Facility Engineer is an individual contributor in a multidisciplinary field of engineering concerned with the physical infrastructure of an industrial facility. Facility Engineers are responsible for the design, installation, operation, maintenance, modification, construction, modernization, design and protection of physical facilities and equipment (building, power, water, sewer, chemical, piping, ventilation, lighting, space utilization, furniture, etc.) used to produce quality products. Responsibilities Work with vendors to start up and install new equipment at Bosch Roseville. Assist in design reviews for facilities systems by providing input, documenting comments, and helping make sure designs meet operational and safety requirements. Prepare designs, layouts, drawings, and bills of material for major maintenance, facility improvements, and other projects. Modify existing equipment and systems for the purpose of improving efficiency, safety, reliability, capacity, and cost effectiveness. Troubleshoot electrical or mechanical issues with facility systems. Develop corrective action proposals and recommendations. Provide standard operating procedures and specifications governing the operation and maintenance of facility systems and equipment. Develop installation packages for the hook-up, demolition, or relocation of production equipment. Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, statutes, and codes
- securing all required permits
- and coordinating with appropriate local authorities. Initiate and implement continuous improvement programs using metrics and reporting systems. Train facilities mechanics as needed on systems to improve 24x7 response time.
- BS degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent education required with 0-3 years experience Must have the ability to multitask and work under pressure. Strong ability to read, understand
- interpret technical documents and manuals. Ability to create and maintain operating and training documents and manuals. Strong communications skills with various audiences from vendors to fellow engineers to operators. Strong computer skills in Microsoft applications—Word, Excel, PowerPoint Basic understanding of HVAC principles, mechanical systems, hydronics
- industrial utilities. Ability to read mechanical/electrical drawings and P&IDs. Preferred Qualifications Experience in design, operation
- troubleshooting HVAC, water treatment, control systems
- chemical systems. 480 and/or 208-volt power distribution experience. Control systems troubleshooting experience. Knowledge of Arc Flash Safety requirements. Work experience in a clean room desired. Familiarity with variable frequency drives (i.e. ABB, Danfoss). Familiarity with PLC/SCADA platforms. Understanding of ISO requirements. Experience in scope of work review and bidding process. Experience in hydronics.
- This role will work on site in Roseville, CA. This position works Monday- Friday, overtime and on call when necessary. Indefinite US work authorized individuals only. The base salary range for this position is $80,000-$90,000. Within the range, individual pay is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, job location, etc. Your Recruiter can share more details about the specific salary range for this position during the interview process.
