Valuation Control Manager
We’re seeking someone to join our Valuation Control team as a Valuation Control Manager. Join Morgan Stanley’s Finance Division and play a key role in ensuring the integrity, transparency, and accuracy of the Firm’s valuation processes. As part of our Valuation Control team , you will work at the intersection of Finance, Risk, Trading, and Technology, providing independent oversight of complex financial products while driving innovation, automation, and process excellence.

What You’ll Do
- Lead and perform Independent Price Verification (IPV) activities across a global portfolio of complex financial products, including derivatives, fixed income, commodities
- structured products Analyze market movements, pricing models, valuation adjustments
- valuation drivers to ensure fair and accurate valuations Partner with Trading, Risk, Quantitative Strats
- senior Finance stakeholders to challenge valuations and improve pricing methodologies Deliver meaningful valuation insights and explain valuation impacts to senior management and business partners Drive automation, analytics
- process improvement initiatives using modern tools and technologies Identify control gaps, strengthen governance frameworks
- enhance valuation processes to reduce operational risk Support regulatory, audit
- governance requirements while maintaining robust documentation and controls Contribute to strategic projects that improve scalability, efficiency
- consistency across valuation control activities What you’ll bring: Experience in Valuation Control, Product Control, Market Risk, Quantitative Analysis
- Financial Reporting Understanding of financial products, ideally derivatives, fixed income, commodities
- structured products Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to investigate complex valuation issues Advanced Excel skills and experience with Python, VBA
- data analytics tools Familiarity with market data platforms such as Bloomberg, Reuters
- similar solutions Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the confidence to engage Front Office and senior leadership A proactive mindset and passion for continuous improvement, automation
