NVIDIA is searching for a creative and highly motivated engineer with expertise in boot software to join the SOC System Software organization. This position offers the opportunity to have real impact in a dynamic, technology-focused company impacting product lines ranging from consumer graphics to self-driving cars and the growing field of artificial intelligence.

What you'll be doing: Design, develop, and validate SOC & GPU Boot and Security software across Automotive, Embedded, and Data Center platforms. Participate actively in the new silicon lifecycle, spanning pre-silicon simulation/emulation to silicon power-on bring-up phases.

Identify, debug, and resolve issues within the Boot stack, ensuring detailed operation. Collaborate closely with architecture, software, and hardware design teams to enhance the next generation of NVIDIA System-on-Chips. What we need to see: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering (or equivalent experience). 5+ years of proven experience in relevant roles.

Proficiency in bare-metal firmware development, particularly with PCIE, ACPI and ARM/RISC-V technologies. Familiarity with computer system architecture, microprocessors, and microcontroller fundamentals (caches, buses, DMA, etc). Expertise in C programming languages, coupled with outstanding debugging skills.

Defensive security programming skills We are seeking candidates with excellent communication abilities, both verbal and written. Ways to stand out from the crowd: Familiarity with Boot Process intricacies on sophisticated SoCs. Understanding of GPU software kernel driver and firmware Experience in Pre-Silicon/Post-Silicon bring up of complex SoCs Used GenAI based workflows for System SW development and debugging Experience working with 3rd party SOC vendors and their software Widely considered to be one of the technology world’s most desirable employers, NVIDIA offers highly competitive salaries and a comprehensive benefits package.

The base salary range is 152,000 USD - 241,500 USD for Level 3, and 184,000 USD - 287,500 USD for Level 4.
