As a Buyer for CACI's INSCOM GILE II program, you'll be at the forefront of identifying, testing, and recommending new products, while forging strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders. Then this opportunity is for you! CACI is seeking a Buyer to our mission critical INSCOM GILE II program in Springfield, VA. As the selected candidate, you will, in part, be responsible for r esearching purchasing requirements for Task Order/ customer requirements.
You will also prepare portfolio reports and propose cost saving initiatives within product range, as well as forecast levels of demand for products and consistently check on product stock levels
Responsibilities
- Identifies, tests, and recommends new products within product range.
- Serves as the liaison between suppliers, manufacturers, purchasing managers, and other internal stakeholders.
- Conducts research to determine the best products and suppliers in terms of value, delivery schedules, and quality.
- Understanding of INSCOM IT procurement process (CHESS) and ability to coordinate directly with INSCOM G-6 as necessary.
- Prepares market analysis of competitor products, pricing, promotions, packaging, trends, loyalty programs, and marketing initiatives.
- Prepares detailed narrative to justify purchase including sole source documentation.
- Evaluates bids, selects, and recommends suppliers.
- Negotiates price, delivery, quality, and service.
- Follows up on all awards until completion of order.
- Responsible for purchasing a variety of complex or technical supplies or services.
- Prepares special reports and financial studies for management and alerts them to significant variances to plan.
- Develops purchasing packages with appropriate requests for proposal or quotes
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field with six years of related purchasing experience Associates Degree in Business with minimum of 24 credit hours in Business Related Classes plus eight years related purchasing experience Thorough knowledge of FAR/DFAR and other applicable government regulations.
- Ability to read and write in fluent English.

- Pay Range : There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
