Associate Technical Data Designer Company: Boeing Aerospace Operations The Boeing Global Services (BGS) and the Product Support Engineering team is seeking an Associate Technical Data Designer to support our F/A-18 program in Fort Walton Beach, FL .
This role centers on developing and maintaining detailed technical publications to support maintenance activities for fielded equipment and subsystems. The specialist is responsible for producing clear documentation such as operation theories, troubleshooting procedures, parts breakdowns, and schematic diagrams.
Collaborating with cross-disciplinary technical teams, the role ensures accuracy and quality through rigorous data validation, reviews, and impact assessments of design or procedural changes. Ideal candidates possess hands-on experience with aircraft maintenance, specifically in communication, navigation, and instrumentation systems, with preferred experience on F/A-18 platforms.
Strong skills in interpreting engineering drawings and specifications are essential to effectively translate complex technical information into usable maintenance publications that support operational readiness and sustainment. Position Responsibilities: Develops multiple publication elements for all levels of maintenance for a fielded equipment minor system or multiple sub systems Collects, researches and analyzes source data and validates source data based on predefined and developed assumptions Communicates with technical personnel from multiple skill areas and functions to evaluate technical information and issues impacting design, production, and support of products, services, or other deliverables Coordinates the preparation of illustrative materials Conducts quality and in process reviews and validation of technical publications Estimates the impact of proposals or changes to the publication elements Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): 3+ years of experience with aircraft maintenance 1+ years of experience with aircraft communications systems Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Experience with F/A-18 Aircraft Communication, Navigation, Instruments and Electrical systems Ability to interpret and read Engineering documentation (including drawings and specifications) drawings Conflict Of Interest: Successful Candidates for this job must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.
