Job Summary The L48 Data & AI Enablement Analyst is a hands-on technical role responsible for advancing trusted master data, data quality, and practical AI enablement across the Lower 48 (L48) business units. This position partners with business, L48DT, and enterprise D&AI teams to translate business needs into governed master data and AI-enabled solutions, connect use cases to the right tools and platforms, and ensure master data is fit for analytics, automation, and AI consumption.

The role combines strong master data governance fundamentals with technical data skills and working knowledge of AI enablement practices to deliver and support solutions. Master data and AI are closely interconnected; trusted, well-governed master data provides the foundation for reliable analytics, automation, and AI-enabled solutions, while AI capabilities can help identify data quality issues, improve decision-making, and accelerate business value when supported by clear governance, ownership, and fit-for-purpose data.

Position Overview Your Responsibilities May Include: Master Data Enablement Improve master data quality and strengthen governance practices across L48 master data domains, systems of record and digital solutions. Profile, validate and troubleshoot data to identify quality issues, understand root causes, and support sustainable remediation.

Provide consultation on data decisions, communicate system dependencies associated with master data decision; ensure risks and change impacts are clearly communicated and mitigated Partner with business and IT stakeholders to define data ownership, stewardship, accountability, access controls, standards, and role clarity across master data domains.

Define master data quality standards, issue management processes, remediation approaches, and best practices for key master data sets; ensuring source data is trusted, fit for purpose, governed, and ready for analytics, automation, retrieval, and AI consumption.

AI Enablement Advance the ConocoPhillips Data & AI strategy by providing thought leadership in AI governance and contribute to continuous improvement within L48 of the governance operating model. Partner with Business Analysts and D&AI teams to translate business problems and use cases into data requirements, AI-ready data needs, access requirements, quality rules, analytical products, or AI-enabled solution paths Promote responsible AI adoption by connecting teams to approved enterprise AI tools, data platforms, and governance practices while ensuring compliance with enterprise policies.

Improve data quality and AI readiness by identifying and driving opportunities that strengthen analytics, automation, retrieval, and AI-enabled capabilities across the L48 organization. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Engineering, Data Management, or a related field. 7 or more years of experience in data and analytics, including data governance, master data management, data quality, analytics delivery, or related discipline. 3 or more years of hands-on technical experience with analytics products, automation, or AI-enabled solution delivery

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3 or more years of experience in the upstream oil and gas industry.
  • Experience with master data management, data governance, data quality, metadata, lineage, cataloging, stewardship models, semantic models, and enterprise data management practices.
  • Hands-on experience querying, profiling, validating, analyzing, and troubleshooting data using SQL, visualization tools, data quality solutions, data catalogs, and modern cloud data platforms.
  • Experience supporting enterprise applications, analytics products, automation, AI & digital solutions, leveraging platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Snowflake, Databricks, Azure AI, Copilot technologies, or related technology.
  • Strong understanding of AI-ready data foundations and AI solution delivery, including governed data, access controls, retrieval and search, AI agents, prompt engineering, model evaluation, Responsible AI, governance, monitoring, and secure deployment.
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams to define requirements, resolve data issues, drive governance adoption, and deliver master data and AI solutions from concept through implementation.
