Overview We are looking for a Manager, Product Management, Acceptance, to drive commercialization and go-to-market execution of a strategic focus area around deepening our relationship with our acquiring customers and partners as a part of the broader Mastercard’s Asia Pacific regional acceptance strategy. Acceptance Product team is part of the Mastercard Asia Pacific Regional Core Product Team responsible for product management of payment acceptance products and increasing the overall footprint of our acceptance network. As we enter the expectation economy and alternate payments methods (such as wallets and national account to account payment networks) emerging and expanding rapidly across Asia Pacific, we are experiencing a rapid change in the payments industry. We need to change, innovate and move fast to become the number one payments technology company in AP. We need to scale on acceptance development through traditional channel partners (such as acquirers, PSPs, Payment facilitators) and non-traditional channel partners (such as e-wallets, MNOs, B2B marketplaces, Independent Software Vendors- ISVs etc.) This role specifically focuses on development and GTM/commercialization of products such as a QR payments orchestrator, enabling contactless payments acceptance on Seller’s phone. The Product Manager will drive product strategy, solutioning, execution
  • revenue growth for Acceptance products throughout Asia Pacific. This role serves as the primary contact for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring effective product management and delivering measurable business impact. A suitable candidate will be motivated to think differently, deliver on short timelines
  • collaborate teams across Mastercard and external partners and customers to execute the acceptance strategy to achieve the regional objectives. The individual will work hand in hand with the regional, global and market teams to scale our acceptance capabilities. Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement go-to-market strategies for priority acceptance products to maximize market penetration and growth.
  • Lead cross-functional engagement with division sales leads, regional service product leads, legal counsel, global product teams, commercial leads, billing, delivery
  • market teams to align priorities, secure approvals
  • ensure timely execution.
  • Promote sales discipline and operational excellence by enforcing best practices in Salesforce (SFDC) tracking, ensuring approvals and contractual addendums are aligned with SFDC opportunities
  • safeguarding acceptance KPIs.
  • Serve as a product subject matter expert, crafting compelling, data-driven narratives and clearly articulating the value proposition of acceptance products.
  • Own and deliver revenue targets for value-added services, monitoring performance against KPIs and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Provide regular leadership updates by tracking opportunities, reporting progress, and highlighting required support or resources to achieve objectives.
  • Identify service gaps and opportunities through market intelligence, competitive analysis, and customer feedback, channelling insights into feature prioritization and roadmap planning.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends by monitoring competitive offerings, regulatory developments, and compliance requirements to inform strategy and maintain market leadership.
  • Champion innovation by introducing new services and enhancements that strengthen the acceptance products value proposition and drive adoption. All About You
  • This position requires a highly collaborative individual who will need to manage relationships across multiple functional areas, regional executives and leadership as well as key customers and strategic partners across AP.
  • At least 8+ years working experience with in-depth knowledge and experience in cross border flows
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to influence and build credibility, team oriented, collaborative, diplomatic, and flexible
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with demonstrated track record in introducing new/emerging products and services
  • Experience executing and managing business development strategies in complex environments
  • Strategy and product management experience preferred but not mandatory
  • Good understanding of payments industry and ecosystem including digital wallets, A2A payments, fraud and security.
  • Possess technical product development principles and processes. Experience with Agile development methodology is a plus
  • Be comfortable with technical concepts, able to articulate the product details with customers, engineering teams.
  • Demonstrable understanding of financial concepts including product pricing and business case development.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute go-to-market strategies and deliver revenue growth.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills across diverse markets and cultures.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed environment with a strategic and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with demonstrated track record in introducing new/emerging products and services
