Position Overview: Apache Field Operations team is currently looking for Experienced Rotorcraft Support & Test Equipment Technician to join their team at Pathankot Air Force Base, Punjab, India. This position is for an Experienced Rotorcraft Support & Test Equipment Technician to coordinate the sustainment, maintenance and calibration of GHE/GSE/TTGE for Apache helicopters supplied to Indian Air Force and Indian Army. This is an individual contributor position. The position will be based at Pathankot, India and the candidate will be part of the Field Services team. The individual will partner with his team members, internal stakeholders and external suppliers to expand our service delivery model while ensuring service delivery excellence to our customer. The incumbent will be responsible for supporting the GHE/GSE/TTGE at upto two Apache operating bases of Indian Air Force and one base of Indian Army. The successful applicant will coordinate sustainment and maintenance requirements with the designated customer teams at each base and will coordinate the effort for recovery and continued usability of all the equipment to meet operational requirements of IAF/IA. The role would also include maintenance and material planning in coordination with designated IAF teams and coordinate timely induction and completion of all scheduled and un-scheduled maintenance tasks. Position Responsibilities: The responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following: The incumbent will also involve with defining the procedures, special tooling, kit requirements, work packages
- material requirements for accomplishment of inspections, modifications, improvements/ changes and repairs of support equipment products held by the customer. Will also coordinate with customer teams for correct documentation of equipment logs, maintenance history and asset management. Will also be responsible for assisting in development, planning, implementation, management

Will monitor support equipment performance and take all necessary actions to ensure maintenance of equipment is accomplished by customer’s maintenance teams so as to make available required quantities of equipment to meet operational tasks at Main Operating Base(s) {MOB} and Forward Operating Base(s) {FOB}. Will maintain liaison with company engineering and the program office to ensure that the latest support equipment H/W and S/W configurations and data are available. Will coordinate and obtain any shortfalls observed in equipment documentation, operating and maintenance instructions and calibration records. Will provide technical support and familiarization related to operation and maintenance of the support equipment to the customer technicians and operators. Will involve and assist the customer in analysis of faults/ breakdowns and will coordinate the fault analysis with the appropriate program SMEs/ OEMs and provide the customer with instructions and steps to recover the equipment. Will assist in identifying and procurement of the spare parts in the required quantities so as to ensure availability. Will develop, coordinate and forecast spare part requirements to the customer for all equipment held at MOB and FOB. Will analyze the operational rhythm of the customer at each MOB and FOB and make estimates and forecast POL requirements to support the planned operational utilization of the equipment. Will also work out POL reserve stocks to be maintained for surge in utilization rate of equipment. Will provide workaround recommendations to the customer for unavailable support equipment as required to meet operational needs. Review and analyze new proposed/modified SE, assess advantages related to operational requirements and make acquisition recommendations to the customer. Will prepare and/or coordinate engineering documentation as required to document deficiencies and improvements with fielded support equipment items and associated data. Will be responsible for the receipt, inspection and preventive maintenance of all support equipment at rotorcraft bases during the JRI and warranty stages of the contract Will be responsible for handing over the received support equipment in serviceable condition and completeness to the customer as per agreed schedule during JRI. Will work with program SMEs to rectify, recover and handover equipment that is rejected during JRI. Will be responsible to coordinate and arrange the preventive and breakdown maintenance of Boeing owned equipment, tooling, testers and vehicles in order to ensure their availability for Boeing tasks. A highly energetic, skilled and experienced professional is required to fill this position supporting a large volume of equipment across multiple bases. Would also undertake other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management. Will supervise SE Mechanics positioned in other MOBs (for Chinook & Apache Fleets) during the ASA (Aircraft Support Agreement) Phase, to ensure all the SE/GHE/GSE related SOW (Statement of Work) commitments are fulfilled in a timely manner. The position will be based out of Air Force Station Chandigarh. However, the role and responsibilities will entail occasional travel to other Chinook and Apache bases. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): 7 to 12 years of hands-on experience in maintaining Aerospace Ground Equipment and Material Handling Equipment preferably at Airport / Airlines/ Military Aviation Establishments / Manufacturing Plants. A combination of educational qualifications and experience would also be acceptable. Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Diploma / ITI in Electrical/ Automobile/Mechanical Engineering. Candidates with relevant experience in defense or airlines would be preferred. Candidates currently employed in similar roles will be preferred. Typical Education & Experience:
- Typically 8-12 years related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (eg. bachelor, master, etc) preferred but not required.” Relocation: This position does offer relocation within INDIA.
