- Production Manager
- The Manager, Production at Redwood Materials is responsible for managing daily manufacturing operations at MSC. The position involves oversight of the production line, improving operational efficiency
- maintaining safety and quality standards throughout the process. The Production Manager supervises a team that includes Production Supervisors and associates, providing guidance, support
- leadership at the plant level. This role is focused on execution and operational management to achieve production targets and maintain consistent plant performance.
- Responsibilities Will Include:
- Own shift-level production performance across all manufacturing lines, driving output safely and efficiently against key metrics including throughput, yield, quality, and incident rates.
- Lead and develop a team of production supervisors and frontline operators, allocating people and attention to where they'll have the greatest impact as priorities shift.
- Translate production schedules, material plans, and business targets into clear daily execution your team can run on, closing the gap between plan and actual without being asked.
- Work through ambiguous problems, make decisions with incomplete information, and escalate fast when you need more resources or support.
- Partner cross-functionally with maintenance, quality, safety, and supply chain to resolve constraints and keep production flowing with minimal disruption.
- Drive continuous improvement as a default, not a project. Identify inefficiencies across people, process, and equipment and chase them down systematically.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and quality standards, building a culture where doing it right and doing it fast are not in conflict
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- 2+ years in a supervisory or management role leading exempt and non-exempt teams.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing operations, production workflows, and process improvement principles such as Lean or Six Sigma.
- Ability to interpret operational, technical, and financial data to identify trends, diagnose root causes, and support decision-making.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, shifting priorities, and competing deadlines in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work across cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- The position is full-time. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
