Accountant

About the role Gamma crossed $100M in annual recurring revenue, reached a $2.1B valuation, and has been profitable since 2023. Behind those numbers is a deliberately lean finance team, and as our Senior Accountant, you'll be its operational engine.

Reporting to the Director of Accounting, you'll own general ledger accounting and financial reporting: running month-end close and producing the monthly and quarterly financials our leadership team and investors rely on. Because we stay lean, you'll also own AR, AP, and T&E.

Not as data entry, but as the person who reviews, approves, and resolves exceptions while automation and AI handle the routine. This is a high-ownership generalist role. You'll run your areas end-to-end with limited supervision, support our in-flight ERP implementation, and make close faster and tighter every month.

If you want real breadth and direct impact instead of a narrow slice of a large accounting org, this one was built for you. Our team has a strong in-office culture and works in person 4–5 days per week in San Francisco. We love working together to stay creative and connected, with flexibility to work from home when focus matters most.

What you'll do Own month-end close, from journal entries and flux analysis to balance sheet and cash reconciliations, delivering a timely, accurate US GAAP close Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements and supporting schedules for management and investor reporting Run general corporate accounting across prepaids, fixed assets, accruals, leases, stock-based compensation, and payroll, and support revenue and deferred revenue entries alongside the Director of Accounting Own AR, AP, and T&E day to day, reviewing and approving vendor bills, expense reimbursements, and cash receipts while automated workflows handle the routine Support external audits, including PBC preparation, and maintain the internal controls and process documentation for your areas Support our in-progress ERP implementation from data migration through post-go-live optimization, using AI and automation to cut manual work and measurably shorten the close timeline What you'll bring A bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 2–3 years in industry corporate accounting, with the full close cycle under your belt (JEs, accruals, reconciliations, and flux analysis) under US GAAP A generalist's range and an owner's mindset: you run multiple accounting areas independently, at pace, without waiting to be told what's next Experience preparing financial statements for management and investor reporting, and supporting external audits including PBC preparation High proficiency in Excel and hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, or a similar ERP Real excitement for AI tools and a track record of automating manual processes CPA or CPA-eligible, a mix of Big Four and industry experience, ASC 842 lease accounting, exposure to SaaS revenue recognition (ASC 606), or experience with an ERP implementation (Nice to have) Compensation range: The base salary for this full-time position, which spans multiple internal levels depending on qualifications, ranges between $140K - $180K plus benefits & equity.

Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including but not limited to experience and expertise in the requirements listed above. If you're interested in this role but you don't meet every requirement, we encourage you to apply anyway!

We're always excited about meeting great people.
