As a Mechanical Engineering technical leader, you will design, develop
- test actuation solutions. You will create detailed design specifications and models, conduct simulations, test and validate
- drive end to end actuation solutions. The ideal candidate has experience designing rotary actuation hardware, partnering with controls/electrical engineering to deliver complete actuation solutions, enjoys analytical problem solving, possesses practical knowledge of high volume manufacturing methods and is a role model for engineering best practices. Key job responsibilities The Mechanical Engineer will be accountable for: - Working with an interdisciplinary team to execute actuator designs from concept to production including specification, design, prototyping, validation and testing - Working with the Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Quality organizations as well as vendors to ensure a smooth product launch and sustaining - Writing functional specifications, design verification plans

- Experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans and functional test procedures - BS in Mechanical, Robotics or Mechatronics Engineering (or similar field) - SolidWorks or similar CAD experience, understanding of best practices for part design, advanced assemblies and complex configuration management - Hands on experience crafting proof-of-concept models and prototypes - Experience mentoring and developing junior engineers - Thorough understanding of technical principals, theories and concepts in hardware development and ability to apply them to actuator design - Extensive rotary actuation design experience interfacing with a wide array of electro-mechanical subsystems and associated debugging experience - Strong organizational and planning skills - Desire to work in a fast-paced environment and customer focused - Ability to effectively communicate concepts and write technical documents - Experience with full product lifecycle and proficiency at completing tasks to meet milestones - Experience evaluating design, performance and logistical tradeoffs for hardware systems - Ability to support domestic and international travel as required by the program. - Desire and energy to work in a fast-paced agile environment
