Your Impact The primary purpose of this role is to support operational health in performance, availability, interoperability, and reliability of technology systems by providing first- and second-level support for enterprise systems and delivering infrastructure solutions in support of components of larger project-based solutions.
The role assists more senior level engineers with infrastructure planning, engineering, and architecture, works with business units to ensure solutions meet or exceed business requirements, and may deliver work on a smaller component scale independently.
The Technology Operations Engineer will suggest, promote, and use published standards to minimize environment complexity and ensure regulatory and license compliance. This role works the hours and schedule required to support the enterprise and may be on call and/or work alternate schedules to meet department needs.
What You Will Do Works with senior engineers, event stakeholders, and technology teams to provide recommendations and input on AV infrastructure, event technology solutions, collaboration platforms, and associated risks and benefits. Provides end-to-end audio-visual support for corporate meetings, executive presentations, live events, webinars, and hybrid productions, ensuring a high-quality experience for both in-person and remote participants.
Operates, configures, and troubleshoots professional AV systems, including audio, video, lighting, streaming, conferencing, and collaboration technologies. Delivers white-glove support for executive leadership and other high-visibility corporate events.
Builds, configures, and prepares hardware and software components for deployment, installation, and support of AV and collaboration technology solutions. Coordinates event planning, setup, testing, rehearsals, execution, and post-event support, working closely with event planners, facilities teams, IT partners, and business stakeholders.
Leads validation, testing, and quality assurance activities for AV systems, event technologies, and collaboration platforms to ensure functionality and performance requirements are met. Provides support for functionality testing and event rehearsals, identifying opportunities for system improvements and working with technology teams to implement enhancements as needed.
Diagnoses, troubleshoots, and resolves technical issues involving AV systems, conferencing platforms, networks, applications, and related technologies; escalates issues when appropriate to minimize disruption to business operations. Configures and supports Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Webex, and other collaboration platforms to enable effective communication and event delivery.
Monitors, maintains, and optimizes conference room and event technology to ensure reliability, performance, and consistent user experience. Maintains AV equipment inventories, documentation, operational procedures, and support standards to promote operational excellence and service continuity.
Provides post-implementation and post-event support, including system enhancements, process improvements, and continuous optimization of AV and event technology services. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer information systems, or related field or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement, if applicable 2 years of experience in an IT support environment with technical experience in distributed technologies and systems development, or equivalent experience supporting enterprise audiovisual, collaboration, and event technology systems.
Experience with both infrastructure and applications systems management, diagnostics, and support Preferred Skills/Education 1 year of experience working with third-party technology vendors and/or systems solution providers. 2 years of experience supporting live events, broadcast productions, or studio environments. 1 year of experience in a customer service, technical support, or related role. 2 years of experience operating professional audio, video, camera, or production systems. 1 year of experience working with third-party technology vendors and/or systems solution providers. 2 years of experience supporting live events, broadcast productions, or studio environments. 1 year of experience in a customer service, technical support, or related role. 2 years of experience operating professional audio, video, camera, or production systems. 1 year of experience supporting collaboration platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Webex, or Zoom.
