Key job responsibilities - Develop embedded software for driving sophisticated mechatronic systems. - Work with multiple components including motor control, networking, security, sensing
- safety on modern real-time actuation and system hardware. - Contribute to the architecture of these complex systems and work effectively with team members to implement solutions. - Develop solutions that balance performance and maintainability - Collaborate with our hardware teams and vendors to enable new computing hardware and functionality. A day in the life As a Software Engineer, you will work with cross-functional teams to develop, test
- debug sophisticated modern robotic systems. The development process will involve contributing to the design process, analyzing potential pitfalls of proposed approaches
- implementing new products and features. Testing efforts will involve writing automated tests to validate newly created features or conducting live testing to debug and root cause issues.
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience - 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience - 3+ years of embedded firmware development experience - Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing
- operations experience - Master's degree in computer science or equivalent - Knowledge of the tools of the trade, including a variety of modern programming languages (Rust, Java, C/C++)
- a solid understanding of the Linux operating system - Experience in embedded development in C/C++
- experience with Machine Learning and Large Language Model fundamentals, including architecture, training/inference lifecycles
