The Global Partner Marketing & GTM team brings together go-to-market strategy, programs, and digital platforms to accelerate partner growth and elevate the end-to-end partner experience across every partner segment and archetype.
About the Role The Director of To-Partner Marketing leads strategy, prioritization, and execution across GCPS-owned digital channels and integrated, AI-powered marketing and communications for the Microsoft AI Cloud Partner Program and Cloud Solution Areas.
You will lead a team of partner marketing professionals accountable for translating business priorities into outside-in, partner-relevant narratives — grounding every message in the partner’s “what’s in it for me” (WIFM) and earning opportunity for partners serving all customer segments – SMB through Enterprise.
You will orchestrate data-driven, omnichannel partner journeys that attract, nurture, inspire, and retain partners; build measurement frameworks that connect marketing activity to partner activation, pipeline, and revenue; and harness generative AI and modern martech to deliver personalization and content velocity at scale.
You will think and act both strategically and tactically, using business acumen, storytelling and a deep partner focus to balance the needs of partners and Microsoft. This role provides team leadership for the Partner Book of News and editorial calendar strategy, the multi-year end-to-end digital partner journey, an integrated earned-media and social strategy, and the delivery of impactful partner communications globally.
Responsibilities Team Leadership Lead a high-performing, cross-functional, diverse, and inclusive team of marketing professionals — fostering AI fluency and a test-and-learn culture — with global accountability to: Lead and grow a high-performing, inclusive partner marketing team that operates as a center of excellence, scaling AI-enabled best practices, career development, and a test-and-learn culture.
Set the integrated partner marketing narrative and messaging architecture for all partners in the Microsoft ecosystem, grounded in partner business models, personas, archetypes, and WIFM. Drive global execution across digital channels and full-funnel motions, influencing senior stakeholders and partners to deliver measurable partner and customer success.
Business Leadership Set a bold, data-driven vision and multi-year plan for partner marketing communications aligned to partner priorities and designed to exceed business goals. Translate market opportunity, partner insight, and TAM data into outside-in narratives and v-next GTM strategies that help partners capture the AI opportunity.
Establish full-funnel KPIs, attribution, operational rigor, and governance across budget, ROI, brand, accessibility, privacy, security, compliance, and Responsible AI standards. Modern Marketing, AI & Innovation Embed generative AI, Copilot, martech, and automation across the marketing lifecycle to increase speed, scale, personalization, localization, and campaign optimization while preserving quality and brand voice.
Design AI-orchestrated, signal-based partner journeys and partner-based marketing motions that deliver the right message to priority cohorts at the right moment. Amplify the partner narrative through integrated earned media, AR/PR, social, executive thought leadership, partner hubs, events, and field-ready materials, continuously optimizing against engagement and business outcomes.
Qualifications Required/minimum qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Business Development, Business Management, Communications, or related field AND 7+ years sales, marketing, or business development experience OR equivalent experience. 5+ years people management experience.
Additional or preferred qualifications Master's Degree in Business Administration, or related field AND 6+ years sales, marketing, technology-based, or business development experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Business Development, Business Management, Communications, or related field AND 8+ years sales, marketing, or business development experience OR equivalent experience.
Partner Marketing M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900 - $251,900 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $165,600 - $272,300 per year.
