  • The Regional Procurement Manager (RPM) leads Amazon's OPEX Procurement at a regional level ensuring the continuous supply of essential non-inventory materials and services across the network. This role manages a geographically dispersed team serving approx 16 sites within East Midlands & South of UK, as per alignment of the new global model organisation. Team structure includes 4 Procurement Managers, who handle local procurement operations
  • 5 Store Coordinators (SC), who manage on-site consumables for Operations. They support all end-to-end procurement operations for a diverse logistic network. Home site location subject to discussion, but to be based within East Midlands & South of UK. Key job responsibilities Core responsibilities require expertise and responsibilities in 6 areas: - Strategic operations management: The RPM develops and executes regional procurement strategies to drive network growth and operational excellence. This includes managing complex supply chain needs through supplier performance frameworks and demand planning coordination across facilities. This role requires a deep understanding of operational requirements that drive measurable business impact
  • supporting SME coordination and enabling SPMs achieve stablished KPIs. - People leadership: Leading a multi-site procurement team demands strong people management capabilities. The RPM builds and develops talent across geographically dispersed locations, ensuring team members have the tools and support needed to serve their respective sites effectively. This includes coaching SPMs and SC to maintain high performance standards and deliver consistent results across the network
  • excelling in connection results. - Stakeholder management: Success in this role depends on strong partnerships with senior site leadership and regional support functions. The RPM collaborates with key operational stakeholders through quarterly one-on-one meetings and maintains open communication channels throughout the year. They drive efficiency improvements and align procurement strategies with site objectives, deeply understanding operations processes and brilliant basics. Additional responsibilities include representing SPO in regional leadership forums and GPO workstreams, supporting SPMs in achieving site QBR targets
  • managing strategic relationships with internal partners and external suppliers. The RPM also oversees high-complexity service disruptions, high-risk contracts
  • senior stakeholder expectations. - Cost optimization: The RPM develops direct reports capabilities to identify and capture sustainable savings aligned with company policies and reporting standards. RPMs ensure SPMs achieve regional targets through strategic procurement leadership, utilizing expertise in procurement strategy and category knowledge
  • deploying company savings methodologies and value creation frameworks. - Network optimization: RPMs standardize procurement processes and FC service activities while managing supply chain initiatives. They apply analytical tools for supply base optimization, supplier segmentation
  • lead cross-functional cost projects. RPMs align global category strategies with local execution and contribute to SPO Global Initiatives through standardized practices across the FC network. - Compliance and risk management: RPMs drive compliance and risk mitigation strategies. They ensure SPMs implement supplier governance frameworks, maintain procurement policy adherence
  • manage supply chain risks. This includes oversight of due diligence processes (onboarding through Supplier Connect, TPS & others), contract compliance
  • supplier adoption of required tools (including Avetta, Accurate or SR audit requirements). The role requires strong Deliver Results, Earn Trust, Hire and Develop the Best, Insist on Highest Standards and Ownership.
  • read fluently in English at C1 level or above - Experience in procurement, negotiation, sales, consulting, supply chain, product/project management
  • marketing - Experience managing procurement teams with direct experience in supplier/supply chain management - Experience in people management - Experience in project management including resource planning, managing schedules, reporting project status and prioritizing tasks - Experience practicing best-in-class procurement processes (category management, benchmarking, should-cost models, RFX, reverse auction, contracting
  • equivalent) - Experience with MS Office Professional Suite and excellent working knowledge of MS Excel - Experience running metrics reports, analyzing data to identify problems and using data analysis to generate and explain metrics - Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Master's degree or above in management, business administration, economics, engineering, marketing - Supply chain or Procurement certifications - Advanced Analytics skills and experience - Significant previous experience in Procurement/Operations/Supply Chain/Logistics/Ecommerce Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
