Who we are looking for The Senior Associate – Revenue Insight Center provides subject matter expertise in Financial Planning & Analysis, with a strong focus on software-based revenue, lending related revenue and other fee revenue models for complex custody bank revenue streams.
The role requires developing a deep understanding of State Street's business practices across multiple Business Units. We are looking for a technically strong, forward-thinking analyst who can not only perform complex reporting and analytics with a strong level of independence but also modernize and automate how that analysis is built and delivered.
The individual will support ad-hoc requirements of the Revenue IC Lead and Business Unit Chief Financial Officers (CFOs) for Investment Services, while bringing a continuous-improvement mindset to reporting tools and processes. What you will be responsible for Monthly revenue waterfalls including variance analysis, along with preparation of management presentations describing key insights Month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close and forecast, as well as the Annual Operational Planning process (budget) and Medium-Term Outlook (MTO) forecasting Conduct detailed variance analysis and highlight key insights and drivers for the Investment Services Business Provide a holistic view of business performance, including new business, pipeline, backlog installations and revenue backlog for Front Office Businesses (leveraging Salesforce CRM data), and retention metrics Build, automate, and maintain interactive dashboards and reporting (Power BI / Tableau) to streamline recurring reporting and improve the speed and quality of insights Manage multiple stakeholders and deliverables simultaneously across Outlook (forecast) cycles and month-end reporting cycles May be required to participate in or conduct a wide range of ad-hoc financial analyses on critical and complex issues May develop and/or update various financial models and automated workflows to generate analyses Collaborate across geographies to promote consistency, knowledge sharing, and accuracy in reporting Job Requirements Education & Experience 6–9 years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis Experience supporting a software-based business OR investment services custody businesses in general, or product line management / senior executives Proven experience in financial statement preparation and analysis within a global environment Demonstrated experience building automated reporting solutions and data visualizations that reduce manual effort and improve reporting cycle times What we value Advanced proficiency with data visualization and finance automation tools – Power BI and/or Tableau (data modeling, DAX/measures, dashboard design and maintenance) and workflow automation tools such as Alteryx Working knowledge of Hyperion Essbase, SmartView, and Salesforce 360 / CRM data Knowledge of US GAAP, particularly ASC 606, is an added advantage Knowledge & experience in a software revenue business Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas, workbook maintenance best practices) Power BI dashboards (power queries, measures, maintenance of dashboards) Copilot, Access, PowerPoint, Word Ability to operate effectively under pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic, and evolving delivery environment Strong communication skills with high attention to detail and strong organizational skills Ability to prioritize workload and manage stakeholder expectations across concurrent cycles A positive, proactive, and forward-thinking mindset – someone who anticipates needs, drives process improvement, and looks for smarter ways to work Strong problem-solving capability About State Street Across the globe, institutional investors rely on us to help them manage risk, respond to challenges, and drive performance and profitability.
