- Job Summary
- The Fleet Manager is a critical logistical role essential to Bird's success in Oklahoma City. You will take responsibility for all elements of the local fleet of e-scooters and e-bikes, ensuring they are charged, safe
- positioned correctly to meet the community's transportation needs.
- We are looking for entrepreneurial individuals or logistics businesses ready to hit the ground running. Whether you are a solo operator with a single van or a fleet owner capable of deploying multiple drivers, you can scale this partnership to fit your capacity.
- This is a revenue-share opportunity where earnings are directly tied results. Based on a fleet volume of approximately 125 vehicles daily, this role offers an earning potential of $590-$1000 per week, with the opportunity to earn significantly more based on your speed and performance.
- Important Details About the Role:
- This is an independent contractor position, not an employee role.
- You are responsible for your own tools, equipment, and any associated expenses required to complete your work.
- As an independent contractor, you manage your own schedule and workload to meet the operational needs of the market.
- Responsibilities
- Fleet Transportation: Utilize your vehicle(s) or fleet to collect, deploy, relocate, and retrieve e-scooters and e-bikes across Oklahoma City daily.
- Fleet Maintenance : Ensure timely repair and general maintenance of e-scooters and e-bikes to uphold brand standards and ensure rider safety
- Operational Management: Manage the end-to-end operation of your assigned portfolio, ensuring vehicles are available in high-demand areas.
- Field Execution: Problem-solve in real-time to overcome obstacles, prioritize tasks, and navigate local geography efficiently.
- Must Haves
- Vehicle Access (Required): Must own or have consistent access to at least one large vehicle (van/truck) suitable for transporting multiple scooters/bikes. Fleet owners with multiple vehicles/drivers are encouraged to apply.
- Storage Space: Access to a garage, warehouse, or commercial facility with electricity is highly preferred for maximizing earnings (allows for overnight charging).
- License: Valid Class 5 Driver's License (or applicable commercial license) with a clean driving record for all operating drivers.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly; must be able to stoop, bend, walk, and stand for long periods while handling heavy equipment.
- Availability: Flexible schedule with a willingness to regularly operate on weekends.
- Tech-Savvy: Comfortable learning new mobile tools to locate and manage the fleet.
- Local Knowledge: Strong knowledge of Oklahoma City' local geography.
