Job Summary The primary purpose of this role is to provide leadership, support and oversight within the Retail Controllership Accounting organization for the procure-to-pay cycle, which includes accounts payable, vendor income, freight payables, import accounting, and supply chain accounting .

This includes responsibility for understanding US GAAP, internal control design and execution, and designing, producing and explaining financial and operational reporting and analyses to all levels of management. This role is engaged in cross-functional initiatives and efforts across the organization.

The primary internal customer is the Merchandising organization but also interacts with a wide variety of internal and external parties to support the achievement of corporate goals. Key Responsibilities Understand the business context and accounting processes end-to-end within the procure-to-pay (P2P) cycle.

Accountable for accuracy, timeliness, KPI performance, and control execution across assigned functions. Engagement in accounting treatment/topics, process design, root cause analyses and resolution and system enhancement or initiative implementation.

Provides decision input on policy and process changes; US leaders maintain final authority. Proactively identifies risks, control gaps, and operational inefficiencies and makes recommendations on mitigations, improvements and efficiencies Provides leadership to the business unit accounting support functions and leverages specialized knowledge to identify and mitigate risks, leading to timely and accurate accounting transactions and financial reporting Leads by example and fosters an environment of continual process improvement, cost productivity, automation and leveraging AI to deliver value Supports the evolution and maturation of the global accounting operation, specifically driving functional ownership and accountability within the teams Takes ownership of problem-solving opportunities, while driving root cause resolution and risk mitigation Builds high-performing teams by developing and acquiring talented accounting professionals Develops and maintains relationships to influence strategic and business decisions Leads and develops the team to ensure accounting best practices are implemented and followed, financial results are accurately recorded, reported and analyzed to identify insights for decision making Qualifications education: Required/Preferred Bachelors Degree Accounting, Commerce or Finance Preferred Masters Degree M.B.A.

Experience : Required 10 Years Experience in an Accounting or Financial Reporting role Required 5 Years Leadership experience with direct reports Preferred 5+ Years Demonstrated experience working closely with senior leadership (VP and above) Core Behaviors: Focus on Customers - At Lowe’s, we put customers first by delivering SMART customer service.
