Position Summary The Strategic Proposal Management (SPM) organization leads the development and delivery of all proposal activity for CVS Caremark, the pharmacy benefits management (PBM) business of CVS Health.
The team is responsible for producing high-quality, client-ready proposals that clearly demonstrate CVS Caremark’s ability to deliver measurable value through cost management strategies, innovative clinical programs, and member engagement solutions that drive improved health outcomes.
CVS Caremark leverages a differentiated suite of capabilities to help plan sponsors manage pharmacy spend while supporting members on their path to better health. This role is part of the Proposal Operations team and supports the execution of proposal-related activities across the organization.
The position may also expand to full proposal management responsibilities. (The candidate who fills this role will need to work until 6PM CST daily) Operational Support Coordinate and communicate with internal and external stakeholders Develop timely, accurate responses to proposal-related inquiries Scope proposal opportunities and recommend resource assignments Track and manage proposal workflows using internal systems Support reporting, analytics, and departmental initiatives Contribute to cross-functional projects and continuous improvement efforts Train new team members on tools, processes, and best practices Proposal Management (as applicable) Manage end-to-end proposal development for RFPs and related deliverables Format proposals in accordance with CVS Caremark brand and marketing standards Develop responses using approved, SME-validated content repositories Lead and facilitate strategy discussions with key stakeholders Customize content to align with client-specific needs and requirements Establish timelines and ensure adherence to all milestones and deadlines Conduct final quality reviews and oversee submission delivery The successful candidate will demonstrate: Strong ownership and accountability for assigned work Ability to perform in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with high attention to detail Working knowledge (or ability to develop knowledge) of PBM products, services, and sales strategies Effective communication skills across all levels of the organization Strong organizational and project management capabilities, including managing multiple priorities simultaneously A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a sense of urgency Flexibility and openness to evolving processes and innovative approaches Ability to work both independently and collaboratively Required Qualifications 0-2 years of professional experience. 1+ years of experience with Microsoft Office applications Demonstrated ability to manage and organize projects Preferred Qualifications Proposal and/or project management experience Familiarity with Medicare Part D programs (e.g., EGWP, MAPD, PDP) and PBM industry terminology Experience with proposal tools (e.g., Qvidian) and CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) Education Bachelor’s degree preferred (Marketing, Communications, Business, Healthcare, or related field) Equivalent professional experience may be considered Anticipated Weekly Hours 40 Time Type Full time Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is: $43,888.00 - $85,068.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.
The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
