We are looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer who thrives on solving complex distributed systems problems at massive scale. You will design and build the services, APIs
- console experiences that define how customers interact with quotas across all of AWS. You'll work closely with hundreds of AWS service teams to drive adoption, improve automation
- ensure a seamless customer experience. Key job responsibilities * Design and build highly available, scalable services that serve as the backbone of quota management for all of AWS * Drive architectural decisions that improve the consistency and reliability of the customer experience across 200+ integrated AWS services * Develop automation that enables intelligent, real-time quota adjustments — reducing customer friction and accelerating workload growth * Partner with AWS service teams to expand integration coverage, improve applied quota visibility
- increase automated approval rates * Mentor engineers on the team and raise the technical bar through code reviews, design reviews
- operational excellence
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience - 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience - 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience - Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing
