Within Enterprise Technology and Operations (ETO), you’ll help shape the collaboration and productivity experiences that associates, business partners, and application teams depend on every day. As a Senior Engineer – SharePoint , you will play a key role in managing and evolving TJX’s Microsoft 365 collaboration platform. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on SharePoint Online administration, governance, automation, and operational excellence.

You will: Lead and contribute to SharePoint Online initiatives, including Information Architecture design, governance, and platform improvements Design and implement automation solutions using PowerShell and Microsoft Graph API Define and enforce governance standards across SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive (permissions, lifecycle, external sharing) Partner with IT Security, Privacy & Compliance, IAM (Entra), and IT teams across the organization to deliver secure and compliant solutions Provide L3 Engineering support for complex issues, including root cause analysis and long-term remediation Develop and maintain operational documentation, standards, and best practices Design solutions to improve platform health, service stability, and user experience.

Collaborate with global business teams to deliver scalable and high-impact solutions What you will need: We seek hands-on, customer-focused engineers with strong Microsoft 365 expertise and a mindset for continuous improvement. Required Qualifications (these should be qualification that are required/essential to perform the basic core requirements of the role) Strong experience with Microsoft SharePoint Online administration in enterprise environments Hands-on experience with PowerShell and/or Microsoft Graph API for automation and reporting Experience with Microsoft Teams and OneDrive in an integrated M365 environment Experience implementing SharePoint governance practices (permissions, lifecycle, site management) Experience working in large, global environments with distributed teams Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills Excellent communication and collaboration skills across teams and time zones Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Microsoft Purview / Compliance / Data Lifecycle Management (Retention, Deletion policies) Experience with SharePoint migration tools (e.g., ShareGate, Migration Manager) Exposure to SPFx or SharePoint development concepts Familiarity with Azure DevOps, GitHub, or CI/CD pipelines Awareness of Microsoft 365 Copilot and AI-driven capabilities Experience improving operational processes and documentation for support teams Responsibilities : Lead initiatives to enhance the security, governance, and scalability of the SharePoint Online and the broader Microsoft 365 ecosystem at TJX Identify and implement improvements based on operational insights and industry best practices Drive and contribute to SharePoint Online projects (migration, governance, automation, platform enhancements) Design and implement automation solutions using PowerShell and Microsoft Graph API Partner with cross-functional teams to improve operational processes and end-user experience Define and enforce governance standards across SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive Author and maintain architectural and operational documentation; support transition to Operations teams Provide guidance to operational teams for L3 incident management and long-term issue resolution Improve service stability through proactive monitoring and reduction of incidents Monitor platform health and enhance performance and user experience Act as a technical consultant for complex business problems; contribute to design standards and best practices Contribute to engineering standards, governance frameworks, and operational processes Stay current with Microsoft 365 and SharePoint Online updates and industry trends Collaborate with global teams to deliver scalable solutions Support strategic initiatives and special projects Success in This Role In the first 6–12 months, you will: Independently manage SharePoint Online administration and governance activities Build automation solutions to reduce manual effort and improve operational efficiency Contribute to key initiatives such as content migration, data and site governance, and lifecycle management Provide effective L3 support for complex issues with minimal supervision Establish strong working relationships with global stakeholders and partner teams Requirements: Strong expertise in Microsoft 365 SharePoint Online systems and collaboration tools Experience translating functional requirements into solution designs and improvements Hands-on experience delivering complex SharePoint Online solutions Understanding of performance, security, availability, operations, monitoring, and support Understanding of business processes enabled by collaboration tools Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to work independently and in cross-functional global teams Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills Experience mentoring or guiding team members Working knowledge of SDLC and DevOps practices Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing requirements Mandatory Skills: SharePoint Online – Administration, Sites, Permissions, Governance, Lifecycle PowerShell, Microsoft Graph API – Automation, Reporting Microsoft Teams, OneDrive – Integration with SharePoint Microsoft 365 – Enterprise Platform Experience SharePoint Governance – Permissions, External Sharing, Site Lifecycle Large-Scale Environment Handling (Enterprise M365) L3 Support, Troubleshooting, Incident Resolution Performance, Security, Availability – Platform Understanding Cross-functional Collaboration – Global Teams Problem Solving, Analytical Thinking In addition to our open door policy and supportive work environment, we also strive to provide a competitive salary and benefits package.
