Job Description The Sales Operations Analyst – Dealer Policy & Administration supports the execution, governance, and administration of GM dealer policies, contractual activities, and operational programs that enable the success of the Sales, Service, and Marketing organization.
This position will play an important role serves as a key liaison between Field Teams, Dealers, Legal, Marketing, and internal business partners to ensure compliance with the Dealer Sales and Service Agreement (DSSA), maintain critical policy resources, support licensing requirements, and drive operational excellence through reporting, analytics, and process improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities Serve as a primary resource for GM Field Teams, the Dealer Contractual Group (DCG), and Dealers regarding dealer policies, forms, letters, and processes related to the Dealer Sales and Service Agreement (DSSA). Support project management activities and reporting requirements for strategic initiatives, including dealer network and dealer data verification processes.
Analyze data and operational performance metrics to identify trends, opportunities, risks, and process improvements across sales and dealer operations. Maintain and administer the GM Dealer Policy Library, ensuring timely publication and communication of policy updates, bulletins, and reference materials.
Support the renewal and maintenance of GM state dealer licenses in compliance with applicable state regulations and legal requirements. Coordinate and administer HireRight background screening activities for the Dealer Contractual Group. Manage access governance activities, including permissions administration and semi-annual access reviews for SharePoint sites and shared mailboxes.
Support annual dealer network projects through data analysis, reporting, document preparation, stakeholder coordination, and supplier engagement. Manage all Dealer Domain Name Change Requests and ensure timely resolution and communication to stakeholders.
Develop and implement operational initiatives that enhance Sales, Service, Marketing, and dealer support processes. Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including Legal, Marketing, Sales, Information Technology, Suppliers, Agencies, and Dealer partners.
Create presentations, dashboards, and executive summaries to support leadership reviews and business planning activities. Lead Information Lifecycle Management (ILM), Records Information Management (RIM), and Business Continuity Planning (BCP) activities across multiple business functions to ensure compliance and operational readiness.
Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying process efficiencies, improving controls, and standardizing business practices. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Operations, Communications, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in Sales Operations, Dealer Operations, Business Administration, Project Coordination, or a related field.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience interpreting business data and reporting metrics. Experience managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all organizational levels.
Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Knowledge of dealer operations, contractual processes, or automotive retail business practices is preferred. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting dealer-facing programs or automotive field operations.
Knowledge of GM dealer policies, dealer network operations, and the Dealer Sales and Service Agreement (DSSA). Experience with SharePoint administration, access governance, ILM, RIM, and compliance-related activities. Familiarity with project management methodologies and business process improvement practices.
Experience working with Legal, Compliance, Sales, and Marketing organizations.
