Senior Executive, Accounts Receivable

Role Profile The primary purpose of this role is to manage end-to-end Accounts Receivable operations, ensuring timely billing, collections, cash application, dispute resolution, and customer account management across LSEG service lines. The role supports revenue realization, minimizes aged debt, maintains strong customer relationships, and ensures compliance with company policies, financial controls, and performance targets.
Key Responsibilities The selected candidate will be responsible for: Managing assigned customer portfolios to ensure timely collection of outstanding receivables. Monitoring aged debt and proactively following up with customers to reduce overdue balances.
Investigating and resolving payment disputes, billing discrepancies, and customer queries. Maintaining accurate customer account records and collection notes within AR systems. Supporting cash allocation and reconciliation activities to ensure accurate account balances.
Preparing and issuing account statements, collection reminders, and demand letters as required. Collaborating with Sales, Billing, Legal, and Customer Success teams to resolve collection issues and prevent payment delays. Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Providing customers with supporting documentation including invoices, credit notes, and account reconciliations. Producing regular AR and collections reports for management review. Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) such as DSO, overdue debt, collection effectiveness, and dispute resolution timelines.
Assisting in month-end closing activities, including AR reconciliations and bad debt provisions. Supporting revenue assurance processes by identifying risks and strengthening controls. Ensuring compliance with internal controls, company policies, and accounting standards.
Identifying opportunities to improve collection processes, customer communications, and operational efficiency. Participating in system enhancements, testing, and process automation initiatives. Supporting internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations.
Assisting team members with knowledge sharing and cross-functional learning activities. Supporting management with ad-hoc projects and process improvement initiatives. Candidate Profile The ideal candidate should possess: A degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Professional accounting qualifications (CIMA, ACCA, CA, CMA, or equivalent) at an intermediate level will be an advantage. Minimum of 1–3 years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Collections, Credit Control, or Order-to-Cash functions within a multinational or large organization.
Strong understanding of AR processes, collections management, account reconciliations, and revenue-related controls. Experience handling customer disputes and driving debt recovery initiatives. Ability to work independently and make sound decisions while managing multiple priorities.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. Experience with ERP systems, preferably Oracle Finance , SAP, or similar financial platforms.
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, global team environment. Flexibility to work according to UK business hours.
