Job Summary Comcast Technology and Product Experience (TPX) is seeking an experienced iOS Developer to join the Connected Living Camera Client Engineering team.
This group is responsible for customer-facing mobile application development for Comcast’s Home Security Camera product offerings. This includes the native iOS and Android Xfinity application, which primarily handles our cloud enabled Internet Gateway for millions of homes but is expanding to become Comcast’s primary mobile app with new features such as bill pay.

Job Description About the Role We’re looking for an Android Engineer to join the Camera Client Squad and help build video and camera experiences used by millions of Xfinity customers.
In this role, you’ll develop high-quality mobile features, collaborate across teams, and contribute to a modern Android codebase powering real-time streaming and device interactions. This is an ideal opportunity for engineers who enjoy building user-facing features, working with video technology, and contributing to scalable mobile architectures.
What You’ll Do · Build and maintain Android features for camera and video experiences · Collaborate with product, backend, and device teams to deliver end-to-end solutions · Contribute to app architecture, design discussions, and technical decisions · Write clean, maintainable Kotlin code using modern Android frameworks · Improve app performance, reliability, and user experience · Debug and resolve production issues · Participate in code reviews and support a culture of continuous improvement Required Qualifications · 4+ years of professional Android development experience · Strong proficiency in Kotlin · Experience integrating RESTful APIs · Familiarity with MVVM or similar architecture patterns · Solid debugging and problem-solving skills · Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment Preferred Qualifications · Experience with video playback or streaming (e.g., ExoPlayer, HLS, WebRTC, RTSP) · Familiarity with Jetpack Compose and modern Android development tools · Understanding of Android permissions, privacy, and app lifecycle · Experience building or maintaining large-scale consumer applications How we work · Squad-based development model with close collaboration across Android and iOS teams · Regular design reviews and guild meetings to align on architecture and best practices · Strong onboarding program with clear 30-, 60-, and 90-day goals · Emphasis on learning, growth, and knowledge sharing Why Join Us · Build experiences used by millions of customers every day · Work on real-time video and camera technologies · Collaborate with a highly engaged and supportive mobile engineering community · Contribute to a modern, evolving Android platform If this position interests you, we are interested in hearing from you.
