Data Analyst

What You'll Do

• Analyze operational activities to obtain a quantitative, rational basis for decision making and resource allocation.
• Conceptually understand and convey complex topics related to data management, data governance, and data maturity to stakeholders and leadership.
• Work with subject matter experts ( SMEs ) across organizations to collect and update business and technical met adata.
• Reverse engineer data models and other design or build artifacts to extract relevant business and technical met adata and load into a met adata repository.
• Review submitted data to detect data quality problems and anomalies and assist with correcting current and historical data.
• Collect and analyze data and asso cia ted system artifacts to support stakeholders in improving business practices.
• Perform analysis to determine how data can best be applied to benefit stakeholders.
• Develop ETL routines to load and curate disparate data sets.
• Analyze and reverse-engineer business and technical artifacts such as data models, data catalogs, design documentation, and interfaces.
• Develop and maintain data quality assessments and data profiles.
• Collaborate with functional and technical data stewards to present findings and provide recommendations.

• You Have: Experience in data analysis Experience with ETL performance optimization or data movement sof tware such as StreamSets, Databricks
• Jupyter Notebooks Experience using SQL for data analysis
• querying data Experience with Python Knowledge of working with databases and tables Ability to obtain a Secret clearance Bachelor’s degree Nice If You Have: Experience with Air Force data Experience with logistics Experience in requirements elicitation Experience in Information Management, including data design, data transformation, data governance
• DAMA DMBOK-aligned practices Experience working with and defining data Experience in logical data modeling and data normalization Experience interpreting data and analyzing results using statistical techniques Experience with data collection systems and data collection strategies Ability to logically articulate ideas verbally and diagrammatically Possession of excellent written and verbal communication skills Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information .

• Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies
• experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.
• The projected compensation range for this position is $61,900.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD).
• The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
