DevOps Lead - Assistant Vice President

Responsibilities

• Conduct tasks related to feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, IT planning, risk technology, applications development, model development
• establish and implement new or revised applications systems and programs to meet specific business needs or user areas Monitor and control all phases of development process and analysis, design, construction, testing
• implementation as well as provide user and operational support on applications to business users Utilize in-depth specialty knowledge of applications development to analyze complex problems/issues, provide evaluation of business process, system process
• make evaluative judgement Recommend and develop security measures in post implementation analysis of business usage to ensure successful system design and functionality Consult with users/clients and other technology groups on issues, recommend advanced programming solutions
• install and assist customer exposure systems Ensure essential procedures are followed and help define operating standards and processes Serve as advisor or coach to new or lower level analysts Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
• Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
• Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.

• Recommended Qualifications: 8+ years of relevant experience in DevOps practices CI/CD Pipeline Management: Design, implement
• maintain robust, scalable
• secure CI/CD pipelines for microservices applications, ensuring continuous integration, delivery
• Infrastructure Management: Lead the design, provisioning, optimization, and management of scalable data infrastructure (compute, storage, networking) across cloud, ECS , and/or on-premise environments.
• Automation: Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools using Shell, Python, or Java to streamline operational tasks and improve efficiency.
• Infrastructure Procurement: Oversee the end-to-end Solution (SLTN) process for infrastructure procurement, ensuring timely and compliant resource acquisition.
• Capacity Planning: Conduct capacity planning and performance analysis for microservices and infrastructure to ensure scalability and reliability.
• Security & Access Management: Design and implement secure machine-to-machine communication strategies and manage infrastructure access, adhering to security best practices.
• Microservices Operations: Provide operational expertise and support for highly distributed microservices architectures, including troubleshooting, performance tuning, and incident response.
• Governance & Observability: Implement data governance policies through automation and establish comprehensive observability (monitoring, logging, alerting) for data pipelines and infrastructure.
• Mentorship & Collaboration: Mentor junior DevOps engineers, promote best practices, and collaborate with development, QA, and infra security teams.
• Required Skillset: CI/CD Tools: Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, Spinnaker Containerization & Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, ECS Scripting & Programming: Shell Scripting, Python, Java Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Terraform, Ansible Monitoring & Logging: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Splunk Networking: TCP/IP, DNS, Load Balancing, Firewalls Security: IAM, PKI, Vault, Security best practices for cloud and on-premise Operating Systems: Linux (RHEL) Version Control: Git Problem Solving & Troubleshooting: Strong analytical skills for complex distributed systems Communication: Excellent collaboration and mentorship abilities Education: Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience This job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed.
