Communications Executive (Maternity Cover 12 mths FTC) About you ClearBank is growing fast with big ambitions, and this role sits at the heart of how we tell that story. You'll play a key role in delivering ClearBank's external communications activity across the UK and Europe.

Working closely with the Head of External Communications, you'll help drive our PR programme, manage agency relationships, coordinate media activity, and ensure communications projects move forward smoothly and efficiently. This is a hands-on role with a high degree of ownership.

You'll act as a trusted partner within a small communications team, balancing day-to-day delivery with longer-term planning, while working closely with marketing colleagues, senior stakeholders and external agencies. We're looking for someone who can hit the ground running, bring strong communications fundamentals, and thrive in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift quickly.

While the majority of the role focuses on external communications and PR, you'll also support key internal communications activity across the business. Reporting to the Head of External Communications, you'll play an important role in helping build, protect and elevate ClearBank's profile during an exciting period of growth across multiple markets.

Your role includes: External Communications & PR Supporting the delivery of ClearBank's communications and PR programme across the UK and Europe Acting as a day-to-day lead across communications activity, ensuring projects, approvals and deadlines remain on track Working closely with external PR agencies, briefing activity, coordinating outputs and ensuring work aligns to business priorities Drafting and delivering a range of communications materials including press releases, media comments, briefing notes, Q&As, talking points and campaign content Coordinating spokesperson opportunities, including arranging interviews, preparing executive briefing materials and supporting media engagement Proactively identifying opportunities to amplify ClearBank's profile through media coverage, thought leadership and industry activity Monitoring media activity and coverage, keeping a close eye on industry developments, competitor activity and emerging opportunities Managing communications trackers and reporting, ensuring visibility of ongoing activity and results Supporting social media content creation where it relates to PR and external communications activity Executive & Stakeholder Support Working with senior stakeholders across the business, including members of the Executive Team and C-suite Supporting executive visibility across media opportunities, industry events, conferences and LinkedIn activity Attending industry events and supporting spokespersons before, during and after engagements Building strong relationships across Marketing, Revenue, Product and Leadership teams to ensure consistent and aligned messaging Internal Communications Support Supporting internal communications initiatives in partnership with the Internal Communications team Helping maintain key communication channels including the intranet and Viva Engage Supporting company-wide communications including town halls, business updates, product launches and strategic announcements Ensuring consistency between internal and external messaging Broader Coordination & Delivery Coordinating awards submissions, speaker opportunities and industry surveys Supporting communications activity across existing and future international markets, particularly Europe Tracking media coverage and communications performance, reporting against agreed KPIs Ensuring external communications opportunities are shared across the wider marketing function for amplification and reuse What we are looking for 3-5 years' experience in PR, communications or external affairs, either agency-side or in-house Experience managing multiple communications workstreams in a fast-paced environment An understanding of fintech, technology, financial services or adjacent sectors Excellent written communication skills with the ability to produce high-quality content across a variety of formats Experience working with PR agencies and managing relationships effectively Confidence working with senior stakeholders and supporting executive communications activity Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and keep projects moving forward Experience monitoring and reporting on media coverage using tools such as Onclusive, Signal AI or similar platforms is desirable Experience supporting both external and internal communications activity would be advantageous International communications experience, particularly across European markets, would be beneficial A proactive, self-starting approach with the confidence to operate independently and bring ideas forward A little bit more about us!

This will be via Teams. Second Interview: This will be a competency-based interview with one or more members of our team. Final Stage: You will have a final meeting with the Head of Department. This will be around 45-60 minutes. Offer: Congratulations!
