  • The Toolmaker III is responsible for the fabrication, repair, maintenance
  • modification of precision tools, dies, molds, jigs
  • fixtures used in manufacturing operations. This role interprets engineering drawings and specifications to machines and assemble tooling components with high precision. The Toolmaker III supports production by troubleshooting tooling issues, performing adjustments and repairs
  • ensuring tools operate efficiently to maintain product quality and manufacturing productivity. The position collaborates with engineering and manufacturing teams to improve tooling performance and implement process improvements while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. PRODUCTION SUPPORT CAREER STREAM: Provides support in manufacturing operations and/or distribution centers including assembly, machinery, processing, packaging, and/or distribution of company products. May set up and operate automatic or semiautomatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation. Reports any malfunctions or abnormalities in machines, with higher levels recommending and/or making adjustments to methods and processes. May be involved in shipping, receiving, inventory control
  • storage of products in distribution centers. DIFFERENTIATING FACTORS Autonomy: Seasoned individual contributor who provides assistance and training to lower level employees. Works under limited supervision, with no instruction needed on routine work and general instructions given on new activities. Thoroughly knows operating equipment and established operational procedures. Performs a wide variety of non-routine clerical tasks and may support special projects or assignments in distribution center. Organizational Impact: Performs activities requiring considerable judgment and may have ownership of minor projects in manufacturing/production operations or distribution center. Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement experience. Basic understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing). Experience supporting high‑volume production environments. Knowledge of preventive maintenance systems for tooling. For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.
