- The Outside Account Management team at DoorDash partners with restaurant merchants to help them grow simply and profitable on the platform. - About the Role
- As a Senior Strategic Partner Manager, you will manage a more complex and higher-value portfolio of merchants, often including larger or more strategic accounts. You are expected to operate with a high degree of autonomy, bringing a consultative, strategic lens to each partnership. In addition to core account management responsibilities, you will proactively identify growth levers, influence merchant decision-making
- drive adoption of advanced DoorDash products and solutions.
- Senior SPMs are also expected to demonstrate leadership within the team—mentoring junior SPMs, sharing best practices
- contributing to broader team initiatives. You’ll take ownership of more sophisticated business challenges, navigate ambiguity
- partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver impactful outcomes. This role typically requires deeper experience in account management, sales
- partnerships, along with a strong track record of driving revenue growth and retention.

- Own and grow a portfolio of top SMB restaurant partners regionally, consistently meeting or exceeding revenue and retention targets
- Lead strategic quarterly business reviews, translating performance data into clear insights, growth opportunities, and actionable plans
- Proactively mitigate churn by identifying risks early and driving adoption of DoorDash products and solutions that unlock incremental growth
- Leverage data and AI tools to diagnose operational inefficiencies, test improvements, and optimize merchant performance on an ongoing basis
- Partner cross-functionally with Product, Operations, and Sales to advocate for merchant needs and deliver a best-in-class platform experience
- Influence and navigate senior and C-suite stakeholders through compelling, data-driven storytelling and strong objection handling
- We’re excited about you because…
- You have 5+ years of experience in account management, post-sales, customer success, or a related client-facing role
- You empathize with customer needs and adapt to meet their unique goals resulting in an increase in customer satisfaction, retention, and product adoption
- You are a thoughtful, merchant first thinker who creates data-driven recommendations and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs)
- You maintain a strong bias for action and an ability to operate as an owner for your book of business
- You use AI as a core part of your account management workflow by prioritizing opportunities, personalizing recommendations, improving efficiency, and validating insights with sound judgment and business context.
- You have knowledge of Google Suite, including Google Slides (creating client-facing decks) and Google Sheets (can maintain complex spreadsheets)
- You navigate sales and AI tools with ease (Salesforce, Outreach, Sales Navigator, Google Apps)
- You manage a book of business, with experience with higher complexity small- to medium-sized business (SMB) clients, or Enterprise clients
- Spanish speaking is a plus!
- Compensation
- Actual compensation within the pay range listed below will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience
- specific work location. Base salary is localized according to employee work location.
- In addition to base salary, the compensation for this role includes opportunities for equity grants and sales commission. Talk to your recruiter for more information.

- For salaried roles: flexible paid time off/vacation, plus 80 hours of paid sick time per year.
- For hourly roles: vacation accrued at about 1 hour for every 25.97 hours worked (e.g. about 6.7 hours/month if working 40 hours/week
- about 3.4 hours/month if working 20 hours/week), and paid sick time accrued at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked (e.g. about 5.8 hours/month if working 40 hours/week
- about 2.9 hours/month if working 20 hours/week).
- The national base pay range for this position within the United States, including Illinois and Colorado.
- $97,920 — $144,000 USD
- The total on-target earnings (base + commissions) for this position within the United States, including Illinois and Colorado.
- $122,400 — $180,000 USD
