Position Summary: As a Director of AI Enablement, you will be in a cross-functional and highly visible role responsible for building and leading a net-new function that determines how an entire finance organization learns to use AI responsibly and effectively.
As part of the Finance Technology Enablement organization, this role will allow you to partner closely with PS Finance business leaders, enterprise IT counterparts, and a growing internal team to design and deliver a structured AI enablement program — equipping finance professionals with the knowledge, guardrails, and tools to use AI well — while establishing and maintaining the governance standards that govern AI use across the organization.
This role is designed for a strong change leader and program builder who can operate across organizational boundaries. Pharmacy Services (Caremark) Finance professionals are already using AI tools; solutions with AI components are being built.
What’s missing is a structured, governed approach that ensures that use is consistent, responsible, and effective at scale. This role closes that gap — not by building AI solutions, but by building the program, the standards, and the organizational capability that allow PS Finance to use AI well.
The right candidate has driven adoption at enterprise scale, is credible on AI governance with both technical teams and senior business leaders and is energized by building a function from the ground up at a moment when the mandate is both clear and urgent.
A Brief Overview Delivers AI governance and responsible use standards across the Pharmacy Services (Caremark) Finance organization. Designs and executes enterprise-scale enablement programs that equip finance professionals to use AI effectively and responsibly.
Collaborates with enterprise IT, PS Finance leadership, and Finance Technology Enablement teams to ensure AI-centric solutions, whether built internally or adopted across PS Finance, meet established governance standards and are supported by structured accountability mechanisms.
What you will do Design and deliver a structured AI enablement program across all of PS Finance — equipping finance professionals with the knowledge, guardrails, and tools to use AI responsibly and effectively; driving measurable adoption at scale across a large, distributed stakeholder community.
Establish, publish, and maintain Finance Technology Enablement’s AI governance standards framework - the reference standard against which AI-centric solutions are evaluated, whether built internally, developed by IT partners, or adopted across PS Finance.
Build and lead a small, high-impact team with accountability spanning AI enablement program delivery and governance standards; develop team members toward increasing capability and scope. Establish and maintain a working relationship with the enterprise finance AI governance function — ensuring Finance Technology Enablement’s standards serve as an aligned localization of enterprise frameworks, not a competing or inconsistent structure.
Serve as a governance and standards partner to other Finance Technology Enablement teams integrating AI into their work - providing guidance and accountability, not solution delivery ownership. Maintain accountability mechanisms, including periodic reviews and structured feedback loops, ensuring governance standards are applied consistently across Finance Technology Enablement and PS Finance in practice, not just in policy.
Represent Finance Technology Enablement’s AI governance posture to PS Finance leadership and enterprise IT; serve as the recognized authority on responsible AI use within the PS Finance organization. Partner with PS Finance leaders and enterprise IT counterparts to ensure AI standards are understood, adopted, and applied consistently across stakeholder groups.
Identify gaps, risks, and dependencies in AI use across PS Finance; develop proactive solutions that protect organizational credibility and governance integrity. Develop and maintain enablement collateral — program frameworks, governance guides, training materials, and reference documentation — that support consistent and responsible AI use across PS Finance.
What success looks like in this role The AI Enablement function is visibly established — team built, mandate communicated, and early stakeholder relationships in place within the first year. An initial AI governance standards framework is published and distributed across Finance Technology Enablement and PS Finance; standards are recognized as aligned to enterprise direction.
PS Finance leaders and teams are progressing through the enablement program; AI use becomes normalized and governed, not ad hoc and experimental. PS Finance leaders describe Finance Technology Enablement as the authority on responsible AI use within the finance organization.
Governance standards are in active use; accountability mechanisms are operational; the function is sought out rather than worked around. Required Qualifications: 10 + years of experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale change management, enablement, or organizational adoption programs. 10 + years of experience influencing adoption and driving change across organizations and stakeholder groups without direct authority. 2 + years of experience with AI tools, AI governance frameworks, or responsible AI programs at the enterprise or business-unit level. 5 + years of experience building or standing up new functions, programs, or capabilities from early stages within a large organization.
