- Role Description
- A s a Staff Product Designer on Bridge , you will lead multiple highly-visible design initiatives that deliver against Dropbox’s strategic bets around AI . This role will require you to lead with vision , driving strategic initiatives that blend design excellence with customer empathy and innovation . You will also help shape our team’s culture, personally role modeling excellence across strategy, interaction and visual design, prototyping, and storytelling.
- Responsibilities
- Problem definition : D efine high-level opportunities that have the potential to transform the user experience and business outcomes. Bring clarity, insight, and strategic focus to these challenges.
- Ownership : Take ownership of strategic, design-led projects, driving them from concept to delivery. Advocate and guide the team toward customer-centered, innovative outcomes.
- Execution : Work with the broader design organization to ensure that all designs are executed to the highest standards of craftsmanship and usability . Focus on simplifying complex workflows that simplify user experiences for multiple customers .
- Strategy : H elp shape and execute the broader design strategy, influencing product strategy across the team and ensuring alignment with business goals. Collaborate with De sign, Product
- Engineering Leadership to align strategic design initiatives with company goals.
- Requirements
- 10-15+ years in a senior Individual Contributor role, with a proven track record of leading complex design initiatives with simple and elegant solutions .
- A portfolio showcasing significant contributions to shipping customer experiences that have made a measurable impact on business and customer metrics.
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with various stakeholder groups, including engineering, product management, and leadership, influencing design strategy and ensuring successful execution.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence key stakeholders . Strong storytelling skills to present and advocate for design decisions.
- Familiarity leveraging generative AI for exploration and prototyping.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Proven ability to lead design efforts in remote or distributed team environments, driving collaboration across time zones and organizational silos.
- Leadership driving company-wide initiatives to up-level design quality (ex: teaching prototyping classes or mentoring other designers).
