Become a part of our caring community The Applied AI Engineer uses large sets of structured and unstructured data to develop tactical insights. The engineer will work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
The Applied AI Engineer collaborates with analytic and data teams to set goals, approaches, and work plans. Evaluate Experience building scalable, resilient, and observable distributed systems methodologies, approaches, and solutions. Work with and validate machine learning models and AI tools.
Interpret and communicate analytic results to analytical and non-partners and executive decision makers. Begin to influence department's strategy. On moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components and performs work without direction.
Exercise considerable latitude in determining goals and approaches to assignments. Use your skills to make an impact Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Computer Science, Mathematics or Statistics or related field and 5 years or experience OR Master's Degree in a similar field and 3 years of experience 3+ years of experience leveraging large sets of structured and unstructured data to develop tactical and strategic insights Experience working with ML models and AI tools Cloud experience Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Computer Science, Mathematics or Statistics and/or related field Healthcare or managed care experience Demonstrated experience with Python Azure experience Experience performing data management, mining, and manipulation along with analytics Kubernetes experience Experience interpreting and communicating analytic results to analytical and non-business partners and executive decision makers Experience driving resources, approach, and tactical operations for projects and initiatives involving own departmental area Additional Information This position follows a hybrid work model , with flexibility to work remotely while maintaining regular in-office collaboration on a weekly basis to support team alignment and innovation.

Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership. Employees who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.
Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job. Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.
Scheduled Weekly Hours 40 Pay Range The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc. $170,800 - $234,800 per year This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan.
