Role Summary The Global Head of Regulatory Examination Management is a senior leadership role within the Global Regulatory Liaison Office (GRLO) responsible for leading the firm’s global regulatory examination program, including the governance, coordination, and execution of supervisory reviews across jurisdictions.
This role serves as the central point of contact between supervisory agencies and the firm to ensure examinations are managed in a consistent, proactive, and well-controlled manner. This role requires in-depth understanding of regulatory and supervisory processes, strong executive communication skills, and the ability to influence a broad range of internal and external stakeholders .
As part of the GRLO, the role contributes to fostering a strong regulatory posture by driving disciplined execution, clear and consistent messaging, and effective engagement with supervisory authorities. The Global Regulatory Liaison Function Our GRLO serves as the primary liaison with regulators in jurisdictions in which we operate and is responsible for strategically managing those relationships through a global operating model that supports local, regional and global needs consistently.
Key Responsibilities Examination Program Leadership: Lead the global regulatory examination program, including setting standards, execution protocols, and oversight across jurisdictions. End-to-End Examination Management: Oversee the planning, coordination, and delivery of regulatory examinations, including intake, scoping, scheduling, response management, and closeout.
Stakeholder Coordination: Drive alignment across business and control functions, including Risk, Compliance, and Legal, to ensure responses are timely, accurate and consistent. Regulatory Engagement Support: Partner with Regulatory Relationship Management to support supervisory interactions and the development of briefing materials.
Quality Assurance and Messaging: Ensure regulatory submissions and related materials are clear, concise, accurate, and aligned with firm positions. Governance and Reporting: Oversee reporting and escalation protocols for senior management and the Board.
Continuous Improvement: Identify themes and lessons learned from examinations and drive enhancements to processes, controls, and readiness. Team Leadership: Lead, develop and mentor a high-performing team while fostering strong execution and accountability.
Preferred Qualifications 12+ years of relevant experience in regulatory examination management, regulatory affairs, compliance, risk, or a related discipline Deep understanding of regulatory examination processes and supervisory engagement across complex, highly regulated environments Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional efforts and influence senior stakeholders across a matrixed organization Strong executive communication skills, including experience preparing materials for senior management, Boards, and regulators Demonstrated organizational, program management, and execution skills with strong attention to detail Experience leading and developing teams in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred Salary Range: $170,000 - $267,500 Annual The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified.
